Continuing to build a solid foundation. When EA announced it was making a bid for the skateboarding genre back in 2007, most gamers scoffed at the idea that the mega-publisher... Read more

    • Slowdown rears its ugly head, Control scheme still not for everyone

Skate 2 is an incredibly deep, sometimes incredibly frustrating game. It looks incredible, has a fully fleshed out online mode, and will have something for every kind of skateboarding fan, but to truly enjoy the game you must get over the incredibly steep learning curve and that is something very few gamers will be able to accomplish. Read more

    • Deep gameplay, great visuals, impressive online features
    • Learning curve, frustration of bailing over and over again.

"Skate 2" obviously isn't as fresh now as the original was back in 2007, although those who fell in love with EA's version of skateboarding is sure to have their romance reignited with this packed sequel. Read more

    • More tricks!, Freeskate activities are a lot of fun, Satisfying control system
    • Hopping off the board isn't as fluid as I'd hoped, Could prove to be far too difficult for some, Some questionable object physics

It seems to be both a positive and negative element that Dark Souls feels very similar to Demon's Souls . The gameplay and design that made From Software notorious is undeniably the same, although the small tweaks have improved the experience slightly. Unfortunately, the graphics look very much the same and the bodies of the dead still like to cling on to you, but luckily not as much as in the game's predecessor. Read more

    • Nothing challenges quite like it, requires thought, wonderful level and creature design, addictive
    • Looking a little old, bodies still stick you, though not as much as in the original

When the original Skate was released, it became very popular very quickly due to it trying something new and risky for the genre. The Flick-it controls changed how we played skateboarding games and was a very welcome refresh for most. Also being able to somewhat edit your own replays an upload them for anyone to see was quite exciting. Read more

Excellent game. fun to play with frens. I got this over summer and play it with frens. I am not a huge skate fan so i don't play it that much but it's cool when you have frens around and you just want to show off sometime. so far the only bad thing i've seen is that the game tends to gets stuck sometimes. well, i guess occasional crash is not a bad thing. If you're a skateboarder you need to stop browsing the Internet and go buy this game now. If you're not a skateboarder I would say this is a rental, because it is difficult and may not be worth the steep learning curve if you could really care less about skateboarding or a realistic skateboarding simulator. For those people Tony Hawk's series will be the games you should pickup. Read more

Graphics: I would give the graphics a 8 out of 10. They're nice and realistic. Gameplay: I Loved the game play it has many features such as "Hall of Meat" which made me laugh. The skating itself was quite hard to believe however it wouldn't be as fun without the back flips and "Super mans" . I enjoyed the edit skater feature as it had real skating brands and it let you show off your style when you were online. Read more
