Reviews and Problems with Silent Hill HD Collection

Sorry, Xbox owners. Konami doesn't care about you.
18 January 2014
Summary: I could go on and on about this, but I'm pretty sure those of you who know anything about the Silent Hill "HD" collection know what a mess it is. The PS3 version got a patch that fixed quite a few of the problems, but if that's still a shoddy port then it should serve as a good indication to stay away from the 360 version since the 360 received no such treatment. If you're still thinking of buying this then do a quick youtube search for Silent Hill HD collection reviews.
Summary: There are so many reasons why you should avoid buying this at all costs. There are numerous bugs and other things that ruin the entire experience. As a fan of the original Silent Hill 2 and 3 I regret buying this. For Silent Hill 2 there is an option to use the new or old voice acting but that is not an option for Silent Hill 3, they shove the new horrible voice acting in your face. There were never any patches for the Xbox 360 version, leaving this a broken game.
Summary: Look, I've checked out several of the reviews for this product and I find it odd that so many of the higher reviews are so articulate and well written when this "game" is clearly a miserable excuse of an HD Collection. This leads me to believe that A) these people were PAID by Konami (the publisher) to help bolster what is assuredly almost universally bad reviews for a broken piece of software, or B) these are some truly hardcore Silent Hill fans that desperately want to...
Summary: Do Not buy this game. Konami has announced that they will not release a patch to the xbox 360 version. They acknowledge that this game is broken but they refuse to release a patch due to technical issues and resources. if you want the best Silent Hill experience i'd recommend the original xbox versions of Silent Hill 2 and the playstation 2 version of 3. they look pretty much the same if not better and they won't screw up as much as this broken POS.
Summary: This game was buggy when it was first released to the point where the PS2 versions are greatly superior. The PS3 version was patched to a point where it's allegedly up to snuff (not sure, I've never played it) but the 360 version is unpatched and Konami has said that they have no intentions of fixing it. Konami knows it's broken, has no intention of fixing it, and wants you to pay 40 dollars for it. I was really looking forward to this collection, I'm so disappointed.
Konami has cancelled 360 patch for HD Collection today
8 August 2012
Summary: [...] "Unfortunately, Konami will no longer be bringing the patch to the Xbox 360. The company cited "technical issues and resources" as reasons for its change of plans. Speaking about the Xbox 360 patch cancellation, Konami said that it "apologizes to any players who are continuing to experience these issues". The patch fixes a couple of important issues relating to the collection's frame rate and audio-synching. " So basically its a $50 broken ass game ! AVOID !
Summary: The Xbox version of this collection is riddled with bugs and glitches, and Konami have released a statement - [...] - saying that it would be too much work to release a patch, making this virtually unplayable. I think it's fair to show them the same respect that they show their consumers - none at all. I urge you not to buy this game. The PS3 version has been patched, if you really want to play these otherwise excellent games.
Summary: Were Do I Start With This Bloody Awful Silent Hill Hd Collection. Well, For Starters It's Not A Collection...Nope, Rather 2 Ps2 Games For £30.00...Bah. Unfortunately My Favorite Rental Shop Has Closed Down (Meaning Game Ltd) So Blockbuster It Was Then...For This Crappy Hd Remake, Yep I Rented This Plus Silent Hill Downpour So 3 Games Equals 3 Times The Headache. Good Job I've Got Plenty Of Good Painkillers In, Because I Need Them After This Crappy Collection.
Summary: Silent hill c'est l'expérience extrême, ainsi à expérimenter sur une ps2 pour un mauvais trip mais très bon quand même, je le voulais sur XBOX 360 mais ca craint, ps2 les silent hill les god of war : la bonne recette!
