Summary: Honestly, this is the worst out of all of the Silent Hill games. Frame-rate consistently drops to below manageable levels for an Xbox game. Textures are constantly loading and popping which slows the game down. Also... the "endings" where the worst for any game..
Summary: I bought it USED as I don't feel like I should support Konomi as they are not doing a good job with the Silent Hill development. if this game had any more bugs, it would be UN-playable. the only think I liked in this was the side quests. only small references to past Silent Hill games. this one does NOT feel like a Silent Hill game. the games is not even scary. REAL Silent Hill fan will not like this one.
Summary: Fairly atmospheric, but dull enemies ruin it. Combat is the worst of both worlds. It was ok that the controls were so clunky back in Silent Hill 2 because the enemies were scary and it made everything tense. Here it just feels like a chore. I was especially disappointed by the opening 30 or so minutes of the game. A whole lot of nothing happens, and it seems like they are setting up a big scare...
Summary: This the final nail in the coffin for Silent Hill for me. I only paid $17 for this and I feel like I was ripped off. Homecoming is way better than this. This game does not feel like a Silent Hill game at all and its not scary. It just doesnt have that immersive feeling that the first 3 did.
Summary: This is one of the worst games I've ever played. The control is awful and the combat just terrible. I guess if you like the Silent Hill series you make like this, but if you prefer RE or Dead Space, avoid this.
Summary: If you are dying to see this game, you are MUCH better off watching Two Best Friends play it on YouTube. At many times, the gameplay is actually laughable. It runs on Unreal so texture pops are a common occurence. The puzzles and enemy designs lack creativity and the best part about this game was probably the sound, but even a 7/10 seems generous. Save some money and just watch a full playthrough of it on YouTube. It'll be more entertaining than the game itself.
Summary: I played every single SH title. Sadly this is no 1 on my list of most boring SH titles, just grabbed top spot from SH4TR. It just doesn't feel like a proper SH game, but feels more like a ripoff. The monsters are boring, and if the story didn't take place at/on the outskirts of SH it wouldn't make a difference. There's just no feel to it, as if the game was made in a hurry.
