Silent Hill: Downpour Review

PlayDevil
21 May 2012
  • Summary: " Silent Hill Downpour " is a real mixed bag of a game as it has many good points but nothing that will live long in the memory. Without question the game will provide several hours of enjoyment but on the flip side also several hours of frustration and for these reasons alone I would say that there are better ways to spend your hard earned cash unless you are a fan of the franchise then you will probably enjoy the experience.

Survival horror game filled with blood, gore, and fright.

Common Sense Media
6 May 2012
  • Summary: Parents need to know Silent Hill: Downpour is a very violent and gory "survival horror" game for mature players. You play as a prison inmate escapee who winds up in the creepy town of Silent Hill, and must fend for himself with all kinds of weapons. You can shoot, stab, and slash demonic creatures. Blood and body parts can be seen during combat and cut-scene sequences. Some of the non-interactive movie sequences are also violent, gory, and disturbing.

HonestGamers
3 April 2012
  • Excerpt: Some might argue that the canon was lost once it left the hands of its original developers; since that time it has been passed from studio to studio, each with ingenuous intentions of making the first ‘next gen’ standout. Regrettably, that still hasn’t happened.

Silent Hill: Downpour

AV Club
