Summary: To start, I'm not a fan of the uber sktating franchises such as Tony Hawk and Skate. These titles at one point were fun, but slowly attempted to alter their formula into something straying from the average person who might enjoy these games. I was on a cheap shopping binge, looking for titles I was curious about and came upon Shaun White Skateboarding. After watching a video or two, I was intrigued.
Summary: People need to stop being so hard on this game. I'm a big fan of skateboarding video games, and while this game may not be as good as the Skate series or the earlier Tony Hawk games, it's actually a pretty good game. I have fun playing this game; I just have two minor problems with it: Barely anybody plays it online, and the controls are somewhat hard to use and get used to. But overall, it's a good game and I would recommend it.
Summary: This game is so much better than Skate 3... The skating is easy and super fun, the graphics are cool and there's a good story to go along with it. It's like a souped up Tony Hawk throwback. Love it!!
Conclusion: Shaun White Skateboarding really isnt a skateboarding game but more of a platformer that uses a skateboard to get around. Its allot of fun. As you pull tricks you change the environment and create jumps and half-pipes while the colour pallet goes from grey to colourful. I strongly recommend this if you've always liked games such as skate but wanted a less trick based, more arcadey take on the sport.
