Pros: It’s short, Fun in a bad kind of way, Colourful
Cons: Completely generic and uninspired, Boring, unsatisfying gameplay, Terrible sound design, Stupid AI
Summary: You know you're playing a truly awful game when, after just one mission, you're wondering what on earth possessed you to buy the thing in the first place. Maybe it was the lure of a story-driven four-player co-op campaign? Or the promise of classic capture-the-flag and deathmatch multiplayer? Or perhaps there was simply a vast hole in your life that only a generic third-person shooter could fill?
Cons: Poorly told, cliched sci-fi story, The most generic of meat-headed, macho characters, Clumsy controls and inaccurate weapons, Numerous bugs, Abysmal visuals
Conclusion: There’s no good reason to play Scourge: Outbreak. It functions (sort of), I’ll give ‘em that. But realistically, and even at a cheaper asking price, why would anyone ever want to play this game? Even the most middling third-person shooter is more desirable, and thankfully the last eight years has got your back pretty well covered in that regard.
Excerpt: We have all been lured into buying a game at some point – often by a mate – on the promise of a great four player co-op, or a multiplayer game that they’ve seen and been left bitterly disappointed when we’ve purchased that said game. We weren’t told to get this by a mate; we played this of our own free will.
