Conclusion: I played the demo to this game. It was wack. It's just another opportunity to milk the nfl and madden license. There are only 4 choices on offense and defense, so you end up doing the same play over and over again. The graphics are weak. The game is a bite off of blitz. It isn't even as good as blitz. It's a waste of money. The game is wack. There really is no difference in the team you choose. The teams basically play the same. There really is no poiont to the game.
Summary: A very rewarding co-op game experience. Easy for anyone to pickup and play, but very difficult to master. It's not as frustratingly unforgiving as other games like Geometry Wars. Lots of medals to earn and stages to explore, and many great little touches (like skipping golded levels, earning more lives every 10 levels, etc).
Summary: A fun and creative twist on the "dual-joystick-shooter". Tons of fun with lots of intense action when playing with a friend. Also, the Uberschizoid is mind-breaking and awesome. Totally worth the 800msp.
Summary: Amazingly innovative game - super simple premise but clever level design. Must-play with a friend in the same room or if you're hard-core in uberschizoid mode. A few of the enemies take a little getting used to, but the ability to go into single level mode and 'gold' a level means you can skip it when trying to clear the checkpoint. Cool. Nice achievement design, lots of accessible ones as opposed to many XLA games and their impossible achievements.
Summary: One of my favourite passtimes is digging out unique and innovative games that may have fallen by the wayside. Schizoid is one of these games, and is in fact some of the most fun I've had on an Xbox Live Arcade game yet. The basic premise is very different to most games, which are typically focused on 1) single player or 2) competitive multiplayer. Schizoid, on the other hand, is essentialyl 100% co-operative multiplayer.
Pros: Unique co-operative concept, good gameplay
Cons: Very simplistic, not really designed to be played alone
