Scene It? Box Office Smash

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: I have seen hundreds of movies in my life, so I readily accepted the opportunity to review Scene It? Box Office Smash. I have heard co-workers at my day job talk about playing Scene It games (not on the Xbox 360), so I decided this Xbox 360 version may be a lot of fun. The movie related questions range from simple to intense. I am curious as to the definition the developer used for box office smashes. A lot of the movies included in Scene It?

Scene It? Box Office Smash

Strategy Informer
6 October 2011
  • Conclusion: Don’t expect Scene It? Box Office Smash to win awards for its graphics (avatars being the gist of it) or audio (which is grating), but it’ll keep any party entertained. Xbox Live and the promise of downloadable content are two humongous additions that should have been included in the original, so there’s enough here for a second dipping with the Scene It? franchise on the Xbox 360.

Scene It? Box Office Smash!

True achievements
29 August 2009
  • Conclusion: The hardest part, I think, is finding an online game at this point, but isn't that one of the great things about this site? Scene It: Box Office Smash isn't perfect, but it is the best trivia game on the Xbox 360. It's one of those games that's worth pulling out even when you have all 1250 GamerPoints.

Hooked Gamers

  • Conclusion: Despite its numerous flaws it cannot be denied that the core experience which inFAMOUS provides is just plain fun. Anyone who enjoyed Crackdown will have a blast with this game and so will anyone else who is a fan of great platforming and free-flowing adventure games. It may leave a bit to be desired in a few areas, but you won’t find a more entertaining gaming blockbuster released so far this year.

Common Sense Media
31 May 2009
  • Summary: Parents need to know that Scene It? Box Office Smash! is the second in a series of video games based on the popular DVD party game Scene It?, and that it features dozens of clips from popular films. While the game's makers have taken care not to include any overtly offensive movies scenes, some of the clips still contain discussions about sex, while others feature fighting, blood, and mild profanity. Players can go solo, but Box Office Smash!

Scene It? Box Office Smash Review

VideoGamer.com
31 May 2009
  • Excerpt: While Sony's Buzz! has popularised the video game quiz show, and the Who Wants to be a Millionaire? game sold ridiculously large numbers during the show's heyday, there haven't been many that have broken through into the mass market. Microsoft attempted to fill the quiz show void in the Xbox 360 line-up with last year's Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action which proved to be a fun first attempt for movie trivia fans. A year later the sequel, Scene It?
