Rocket Riot Review

Strategy Gaming Online
11 August 2009
  • Excerpt: Sometimes it's not so easy jumping on Xbox Live Arcade to get the right kind of downloadable game you want. Many of the neo-retro games offer deceptively simple gameplay that never really has any depth, and many of the actual classic ports are fun for the first ten minutes but lose their luster quickly as your rose-colored sunglasses get a jolt of the awful truth: that many of those classic games you have such fond memories playing really aren't as good as you remember.

Rocket Riot Review

PlayDevil
2 August 2009
  • Summary: " Rocket Riot " is an absolute riot. Perhaps given the number of levels and the slight number of game-modes, single player perhaps outstays its welcome. In addition, multiplayer can be a little laggy. However, minor problems aside, the game is a lot of fun, has an awesome visual style and presentation, and is good value for money, and thus comes highly recommended!

Review: Rocket Riot (Xbox 360)

Gamer 2.0
7 July 2009
  • Conclusion: Rocket Riot may not have the well-known name attached to it that helps many of the other XBLA games coming out these days to get a good-sized community to form around it, but it has more than enough charm and attitude that makes it quite a lot of fun to play for short or long periods of time.

Rocket Riot Reviewed

26 August 2009
  • Excerpt: Rocket Riot sees you as a legless soldier who happens to have a jetpack for a body, as you blast your way through 80 levels of mayhem to stop the evil “Blackbeard”. The story is absolutely ridiculous and you will forget it is there, but thankfully the gameplay holds up its end of the bargain. New development team “CodeGlue” has taken the Smash TV style of game play and brought a different angle to the table.
