You can create band members and perform in different cities and venues available. You’ll gain or lose fans, at the same time, unlocking larger venues. The songs are played in different ways, and some songs are repeated. The Band World Tour mode is quite long and the game has 45 licensed songs. Reviewers find that Rock Band is certainly the most ambitious and successful music game available on the market. The Drums Solo Tour and Band World Tour, and the four-player band multiplayer mode make Rock Band the best multiplayer games available. The sound, the visual and the animations are all stunning. The lighting is amazing. The characters look real. And the reviewers also say that the cinematic camera angles and new animations make this the best looking music game.
See lessWhen it comes down to it, Rock Band is a definite must buy game. If you’ve got friends to play with, it’s an amazing multiplayer game that is as much fun to play as it is to watch. Buying the Rock Band bundle for the single-player may get you a lot of content, but it’s kind of like buying an expensive guitar to play for five minutes and then let it collect dust for a few weeks when you pick it back up again. If you’re expecting a Guitar Hero experience in terms... Read more
Overall, Rock Band is a very satisfying, rewarding game and I’d recommend it to anyone who has a passion for the music game genre, and ideally friends to play with. Read more
You can export the 45 tracks from Lego Rock Band into either of the first two Rock Band games for $10, which lets you enjoy the music even if you don't care about the cute aesthetics. You can also access the Music Store, although the selection has been trimmed to feature only family-friendly tracks. It’s hard to tell where they drew the line on what to cut, though. The stalker-happy "Charlene (I'm Right Behind You)" by Stephen and the Colberts and three Iron Maiden... Read more
If you have ever dreamed of belting out Bon Jovi's "You Give Love A Bad Name" from atop a pirate ship, Harmonix has a game for you. The second of two Rock Band titles released for consoles in 2009, LEGO Rock Band attempts to deliver the plastic instrument experience to the whole family. Despite some missing modes, this LEGO-themed package does enough to separate itself as a worthwhile addition to the Rock Band franchise. The game strips away all Live functionality, with... Read more
I first jumped into LEGO Rock Band after playing through Activision's rival family music game, Band Hero . Since I no longer memorize a music game's playlist before release -- there are just too many to keep track of -- my first moments in LEGO Rock Band were almost ecstatic. The career mode greets new players not with Hilary Duff and Taylor Swift, but with Supergrass and T. Rex. Cue an escalation of hope and interest. Is this a family music game that gets it, that... Man this is fun. We have a very musical family and we spent a whole night just jammin to the tunes. Even my wife got in on the act and its hard to get her near the XBOX at all. We're going to have Rockband parties and invite all of our friends to play. Read more
I bought Rock Band for my twins 12th birthday. They did pretty good at it right away. I, on the other hand, still need help. Singing and the guitar I do okay. I still can't master the drums. Coordination is not my strong point. We have a great time laughing and playing. Read more
Though there are many games I love to play that would get a Excellent rating, this one I give a very good too. I love playing rockband. I have always wanted to play the drums and feel that this is the best way to go without spending a ton of money into a drum set. I have been doing pretty good. When I have more time I will work on getting my skills up. Read more
After a night of playing Rock Band with the kids, the pedal broke in half (not uncommon if you do a google search). It was cheaper to get the whole drum kit than to buy a replacement. Works great. We love the game in our house. Read more or see product
