Resident Evil 5: Reviewed (360, PS3)

mature-gaming.com
7 September 2013
  • Excerpt: Resident Evil, a name infamous with gamers since 1996 when the original title launched on the PS1. I was 17 way back then (oh how the years fly) and can still remember playing this for the first time at a friends house. I basically made myself comfy at his place and didn’t leave for a week until I’d thrashed it, he didn’t mind so much as he was busy with the new wonder machine of gaming the 3DO!

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD Review

IGN Entertainment
23 July 2012
  • Conclusion: The game also adds its own problems into the mix. There are enough technical errors going on to actively start to annoy. Most frequently, skaters will clip through rails, utilizing the kind of talent that lets you continue your combo while being impaled, a skill intrinsic to getting your pro status. Crashing almost entirely leads your player to either bouncing off into the sky, or crashing through the infinite abyss as you travel through the game's geography.

Review: Resident Evil 5

newgamernation.com
1 May 2011
  • Conclusion: All in all, RE5 is an extremely fun multiplayer shoot-em-up with tons of replay value. The action is non-stop from start to finish, and the level layout keeps the action from being repetitive. Additionally, the environments, cut-scenes and voice acting are well done and really draw you into the game. Overall, the action and beautiful presentation create an immersive experience.

Resident Evil 5 – Xbox 360 Review

Unigamesity
3 November 2010
  • Excerpt: Hype, anticipation, high expectations – these are some of the things that could, as strange as it sounds, actually ruin a video game: whenever you want something so bad that it hurts, whenever you are offered that something, you’re a bit disappointed. Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 showed all the pre-launch signs of history repeating, of a horror game people were simply expecting too much from.

Accessibility Review of Resident Evil 5

ablegamers.com
18 August 2010
  • Excerpt: Visuals: Resident Evil 5 is a light colored game, with most of the color palette being dusty and light brown, although the later half of the game is a grayish blue. The game does allow the player to adjust the brightness of the game, although it will likely not be needed. Most of the game takes place in the daytime. However, there is little contrast between colors of the enemies and the surrounding in the game.

Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 Review

Console Obsession
29 May 2010
  • Excerpt: Resident Evil 4 was a shocking overhaul of the series’ core mechanics, scrapping almost everything that people didn’t like: the controls were less clunky and the voice acting an improvement. It also ditched some things that were never a complaint: for me, the more traditional and less intelligent zombies are missed, as is the move towards action as opposed to slower paced horror and puzzle solving.
