OMFG I Can't Believe You're Making Me Review: Record of Agarest War
23 September 2011
Excerpt: In this week's OMFG review, Kat hands Olivia the epic SRPG Record of Agarest War. Did she make it out alive, or did she fall into a time-bending stupor of failed relationships and turn-based strategy?
Conclusion: To my suprise this is an outstanding SRPG. Its 100% japanese. The voices are in japanese but the text is all in english. I bought it yesterday and already have close to 17 hrs in it. It is highly addictive. The style of the graphics remind me of the good old days with the SNES.
Summary: Fantasy RPGs are not often without moments of romance and heartbreak, but few such games released in North America are as sexually charged as Record of Agarest War. Even with a mighty war brewing between the forces of good and evil, there's apparently still plenty of time to peep some supple skin,...
Pros: Lengthy campaign, Tight turn-based combat, Interesting mix of role-playing and dating simulation
Conclusion: Record of Agarest War is one of those JSRPG titles that just won’t appeal to everyone. While the visuals are not on the same level as to what the masses are used to playing, they do suit the game quite well.
