Summary: Here is a crazy review. I actually bought the game when the 360 had it for a launch title. Didnt like it then. Well years passed and I figured lets try again. I couldnt remember what the problem was. Well here it is. The game has great ideas, but doesnt follow through. THe weapons are a let down for a first person shooter. Also when you kill the bad guys, they just disappear. Doesnt feel like impact of the kill. So you may ask, why give it 3 stars?
Summary: Can expect much from a 7 yr old game. It's from the same year the 360 was released. I enjoyed the game back then (I still have the original), but of course it can't hold a candle to the recent shooters. I gave it a medium rating cause it was good then, but lost points for the re-release. WHY?
Lots of technical issues and dead multiplayer bring the long awaited sequel down

Summary: The Good: Portrays a great atmosphere, pretty good graphics and sound, fun vehicle sections, weapon upgrades let you mix up strategy, very gruesome The Bad: Framerate can't keep up with the action, no one plays online, lame ending, feels redundant after awhile, it's kind of short This marks the fourth installment in Johnny Boy's Quake brain child. Running all the way back to 1994 Quake was kind of a "palette swap of Doom" and it's strong point being the multiplayer.
Summary: By dated I mean its been out a long time so this game can't be compared with games released as of late. I've been playing nothing but great titles released as of late, so going back to this one was disappointing because when I played this at release it was amazing. Now its just mediocre. Like I say, you can't compare it with today, only titles 5 years ago.
Summary: I played the original game on PC years ago and i believe it was much better than this version. Its not a bad game, one of the disappointments is when you die you go WAY back and have to start over. The graphics aren't that good but the guns are decent.
Summary: Let me start off by saying, I LOVED all the quake, doom, duke, serious, hexin, e.c.t type games. But this game just doesn't cut it. Pro: Fairly long game if you play it on hardest difficulty. A good twist here and there to keep me interested in the storyline. Plus, you get a Quake 2 port. It's almost exactly like the pc version. Cons: The graphics suck. It lacks a good multiplayer. Stupid looking weapons. Halo wanna-be. Bad voice acting.
Summary: I picked this up down the street used for around 6 bucks. That's about what it's worth. It's just a boring shooter. I mean, back in the day, when 3-D graphics were new, "Quake" was just awesome. It was the game to beat. But these days - with every single game being some form of 3-D immersion, the coolness of Quake has long since vanished. - It's a boring shooter. I didn't think any of the weapons, or their subsequent upgrades, were that good.
Summary: I really luv the visuals and the game play, the weapons and creatures, the main guy becoming half strog was wicked, the problem is later in the game it kept freezing with glitches and stopping and starting finally wudnt play at all. I thought I had a bad copy so I put in my brothers copy and same thing. It was great while it lasted but its quite bogus that I cant finish this game. Luckily I only paid $4 for it, used on Amazon.
Like a less remarkable Doom 3, in HD, and Frame Rate Issues

Summary: The game has good graphics overall. Enemies are good too. But, the game is boring during the first half, it gets better towards the end. The game suffers from frame rate issues when many enemies are in the screen, specially surrounding you. I played Doom 3 in the xbox 1 and there wasn't frame rate issues and the graphics were the same, only that it wasn't HD.
