Summary: Most people would have given this maybe two stars. I'll admit, some of the aspects of this game are terrible. There is no real story, the graphics are not up to par, and the levels overall feel familiar and generic. But there were some aspects of the game that made me give it 4 stars. First of all, the AI was not bad, considering when this game was really made.
Lots of technical issues and dead multiplayer bring the long awaited sequel down

Summary: The Good: Portrays a great atmosphere, pretty good graphics and sound, fun vehicle sections, weapon upgrades let you mix up strategy, very gruesome The Bad: Framerate can't keep up with the action, no one plays online, lame ending, feels redundant after awhile, it's kind of short This marks the fourth installment in Johnny Boy's Quake brain child. Running all the way back to 1994 Quake was kind of a "palette swap of Doom" and it's strong point being the multiplayer.
Summary: Let me start off by saying, I LOVED all the quake, doom, duke, serious, hexin, e.c.t type games. But this game just doesn't cut it. Pro: Fairly long game if you play it on hardest difficulty. A good twist here and there to keep me interested in the storyline. Plus, you get a Quake 2 port. It's almost exactly like the pc version. Cons: The graphics suck. It lacks a good multiplayer. Stupid looking weapons. Halo wanna-be. Bad voice acting.
Summary: I really luv the visuals and the game play, the weapons and creatures, the main guy becoming half strog was wicked, the problem is later in the game it kept freezing with glitches and stopping and starting finally wudnt play at all. I thought I had a bad copy so I put in my brothers copy and same thing. It was great while it lasted but its quite bogus that I cant finish this game. Luckily I only paid $4 for it, used on Amazon.
Summary: I originally bought this game for the PC and really enjoyed it. So, I bought the Xbox 360 edition for my boyfriend for Christmas. The campaign doesn't exactly "suck you in" but it's entertaining. Fans of previous Quake games will most likely enjoy it. The enemy AI isn't the most impressive thing in the world, but it's still fun to mindlessly blow them away over and over again. It would be great if this game featured co-op campaign.
Great graphics, but the action is repetitive and predictable

Summary: If you've got an HDTV and the right hookup, the graphics are incredible. With a 5.1 system that has a decent subwoofer, the sound effects are great too. Dialog is, as others have said, rather muffled at times. The biggest problem I have with this game is that the designers seem to rely on many of the same cheap gameplay tricks that made Doom 3 such a letdown. There's no strategy or stealth in this game - it's just run and gun, and run some more.
Conclusion: I've seen better, but being a limited number of 360 games at the moment, its ok. I played in hard mode and was challenging at times. Definitly a renter and not a buyer. Weapons are good with some wicked upgrades.
Conclusion: good to play in short bursts, as the game gets tedious very quickly. the puzzles are just irritating as you just want to shoot, not go back and forth getting lost in all these different corridors. graphics are good, but are basically slightly better than doom 3 wich isnt much on the 360.
