Pure

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: Disney Interactive Studios picked the perfect name for this game - Pure. This is the cleanest ATV racing game I have ever played.  Pure is also one of the most intelligent racing games (editor: that includes tricks) I have played in a long time. Preload for jumps, then while in the air perform a low level trick to increase the boost bar. Soon the second level tricks come up, and finally the third level tricks. Here is where strategy comes into play.

Pure (Xbox 360)

The Review Busters
23 March 2009
  • Conclusion: Pure delivers a arcade like ATV game that has it all. After playing the game for three days straight I found the time to put it down and write this review. Racing games in general come out almost every month; none of them really come close to what Pure offers. New and old fans of ATV games should pick this game up.

Pure

Game Boyz

  • Excerpt: I remember walking through Disney Interactive Studios demo room with my PR rep during my annual trip to E3 in Los Angeles. As we were meandering about I noticed an HDTV displaying a game where an ATV launched into the air with wild abandonment while the rider did some pretty slick tricks. I was really surprised with the on-screen visuals and the feeling that the game gave of being so high in the air.

  • Excerpt: Stickers are an important part of a game’s box – believe it or not. For example, if you see an EA sticker on a game, you’re going to immediately assume that the game will have some form of quality. Similarly, if you see a “MyFirstHappyDay” sticker on a box, you’re going to have your doubts. So what do you assume when you see a Disney sticker on a game? I’ll tell you.

  • Excerpt: Name: Pure Genre: Racing Platform: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC (Reviewed on Xbox 360) Who would have thought that Disney Games would publish one of the best racing games of this generation? Sure, Pure was actually developed by Black Rock Studios, but Disney’s general contribution to the gaming market is Disney’s Extreme Sports: Skateboarding than anything worth paying attention to.
