Conclusion: For twenty bucks, it’s hard to really slam MLB SlugFest 2006 for essentially being the same game as Loaded . Removing the online play may irk some, but the Create a Player is an overall better feature in the long run. Updating the rest of MLB SlugFest 2006 to stay more current with the times would have helped it out a great deal, but I can’t place any blame when the asking price is a mere Hamilton.
Conclusion: I managed to get 1000/1000 on this game and im very proud of it. What can i say its a great game. Go pick up and im sure you can get a great deal on it since its been out for a while. If you are looking for more online play and motorcycle then check out PGR4. Another great game. Just check both of them out.
Excerpt: Project Gotham Racing stood in the shadow of Halo at the launch of the original Xbox, but it still enjoyed considerable critical and commercial success. The arcade racer with a semi-realistic slant (that had first been seen in Metropolis Street Racer on the Dreamcast) had its detractors - claiming the series was dull - but it spurned a sequel (PGR2) in 2003, and another two years later Bizarre and Microsoft have delivered the third game in the series.
Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is PGR has been a benchmark in the racing genre for the many years that the original Xbox lasted, so to come up with a truly next-gen sequel to an already major franchise and at the same time taking the lead in games for Microsoft’s latest console venture; the task on Bizzare Creations shoulder was huge.
Excerpt: Developer – Bizarre Creations Publisher – Microsoft Games Features 1-2 players (split-screen) 2-8 players (system link) 2-8 players (online) HDTV – 720p Content Download Leaderboards Spectators There is no doubt that with any launch of a new console there are a few must own games, and with the Xbox 360's launch a few of these games have definitely became prevalent. One of those games is Project Gotham Racing 3 (PGR3).
Summary: Project Gotham Racing 3 is a highly addictive game that any racing fan has to have if they are buying an Xbox 360. It is the perfect blend of style, substance, visuals, and sound you will find on any system. It is a testament that Xbox 360 really is starting the next-generation of gaming, but you will blow through the game very quickly, it is a bit on the easy side sometimes, and without HDTV you can’t truly experience it.
Pros: Fantastic visuals, presentation, and overall game
Excerpt: Project Gotham Racing 3, an introduction. When the launch titles were announced for the Xbox 360, the one game that stood out for me was Project Gotham Racing 3. Project Gotham Racing and Project Gotham Racing 2 were two of the greatest titles for the original Xbox and I thoroughly enjoyed them. PGR 2 managed to not only include a better single player game than PGR but also managed to include a superb online mode that gave the game endless replay value.
