A great game for the casual gamer, but get FIFA 07 if you want a real simulation.

  • Excerpt: Well PES and FIFA have long been fighting each other for the best football title, FIFA always being slightly ahead. PES6 received high scoring reviews, however it got the general criticism about not containing licensed clubs ect. Really i think its all down to your style of play, FIFA 07 is far more in-depth than PES 6, with more complicated menus and deeper team management, but the gameplay wasnt as enjoyable as PES6's was to me.

  • Excerpt: Albeit highly out of date by now this is the best football game I have played online before and although it shouldn't really be comedy value some of the parts of the game were brilliant, numerous times me and a few mates have plsyed together and had brilliant laughs playing this game that we never had playing Pro evilution soccer 2008.

Pro really is pro

  • Excerpt: This game is brilliant. Way better than the new one! The new pro evo lags very badly online so most pro evo users have stuck with pro 6. I picked this game up for just £4 from gamestation - i was a bit wary whether anyone would actually still be playing it! But when i logged on i was shocked to see loads of people online. It was quickly explained to me that everyone preferes this as it just plays so smoothly!
  • Pros: Great gameplay
  • Cons: No lower league teams

PRO EVOLUTION GOES TO 360

  • Excerpt: I cant just say why I dint get the type of excitement that I expected when I first saw the game on X 360 console but meanwhile I have to put it this way that I got exited at all. I thought the game would have gotten a different game play when the release was announced. Got fed up with the old game play of konami the creators of the game. Just like the play station 2 or rather the old generation brothers and sisters. Well let us start from the graphics.
  • Pros: NICE GRAPHICS WITH GOOD PLAYERS RESEMBLANCE .
  • Cons: THE GAME PLAY TOO SLOW .

PRO EVOLUTION ON 360.

  • Excerpt: Later in the review, I will make it clear whether the pro evolution 360 is a failed or successful soccer game. Well what actually do you expect from the X360 version, will be like its competitors play station 3 and wii. How did I get in contact with the game? Well that is a very nice question.
  • Pros: GOOD GRAPHICS AS USUAL .
  • Cons: SLUGISH GAME PLAY AS USUAL .

Best football game on the 360!

  • Excerpt: There is always this constant battle between fifa and Pro Evo, and i only bought this game as it came as a bundle with my 360. However, it was certainly this game that turned me into a pro evo lover and away from the safety of Fifa. Of course Fifa has all the licences of teams, players and stadiums and therefore has any team you can want from Manchester United to Luton.
  • Pros: Great gameplay and very enjoyable  -  with an unbeleivable price tag (£4)
  • Cons: None at this price !

still the best footy game play game out

  • Excerpt: I used to hate the Pro Evo series of football games, mainly due to the lack of licences, but this was the game to win me round. I finally saw that i had been missing the point of football games, it is not all about the correct kits and making sure Wayne Rooney looks exactly like his ugly self, it is about playing a really fun game that rewards skillful play and is challenging yet still fun.

Overall an excellent title for gamers of all abilities.

corda1983, Dooyoo
29 January 2008
  • Excerpt: Pro Evolution Soccer is one of the most recognisable footballing video game series, next of course to the most famous 'Fifa' series of games. Pro Evolution 6 is an excellent addition to the series, and promises lots of enjoyment for both football and gaming enthusiasts alike. Perhaps the most detrimental and well known problem with Pro Evo is that, because it is not an official FA endorsed title, it is unable to use many of the true team names, or the names of leagues...

Pro Evo is a must

  • Excerpt: PES or Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is the king of all football games. It has great realism for a start which much better graphics than on the other consoles. First off though I must mention the fact that the PS2 version and Xbox 360 version is different e.g. no training skills that you can complete which I think is a huge let down as I really enjoyed this in the older versions and it was also a good way to learn new skills and improve yourself.
  • Pros: Multiplayer matches rule, Good gameplay
  • Cons: No skills training
