Conclusion: Had it..opened it up..loaded it..played 2 games..put back in envelope and return. Was so much looking forward to this after the FIFA 06 bi-game disaster yet it does not look like a 360 title. Average graphics, blundering commentary and just another football game. Nothing about this game lived upto pre-launch hype Oh well perhaps one day we will see a good footy game on the 360.
Conclusion: Xbox 360 gamers have been screwed again with another games release that is worse than the current gen system version (madden 07 anyone??). PES6 is missing saved replays, edit mode, has less stadiums, some slowdown is experienced and many players are having issues on xbox live. A petition has been started for Konami to release a patch to bring the game up to the same standards as a on the ps2 and xbox http://www.petitiononline.com/proevo6/petition.html Everyone who owns a...
Conclusion: I have to say that Fifa 07 beats this game hands down! For all the hype surrounding PES6, I am absolutely stunned at how poor it is. I had PES5 on the PS2 last year and the gameplay was tonnes better. I also had it on the PSP and that was better than PES6 on the 360! I cannot understand how the programmers at Konami can't take a leaf out of the EA Sports book and design some decent menu options!
Excerpt: Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end PES wins. We have come to expect this over the last six years but now with the world getting enthralled in the shiny appeal of next-gen gaming people want more bang for their buck.
Excerpt: If your a football fan you will love this game. If your not you will just like. I thought the character graphics where a little sub-par but except for that all the rest was of the game was just fine. I'm glad I rented this game and didn't buy it though because like most modern games it wouldn't stand the test of time like all my old Xbox Live Arcade games do. I was happy to play it for a few days and send it back.
Excerpt: Plenty of replayabilty with all the cups and leagues, then the online adds even more to it. The main annoyance of mine is the lack of teams and the unlisenced names, west london blue, im lucky i folow football and i can understand this but for those that dont or most americans the naming may be a problem.
Excerpt: This game, god,it really xxxxxx me off. The Computer players can tug and pull, barge the hell out of you,and you hardly get a free kick, never mind them getting a card...as soon as you do a sliding tackle,9/10 its a yellow card,or worse..a red card...and then in the replay, you can clearly see you getting the ball. The speed of certain players gets me...if you are using John Terry..i player we all know lacks speed...then he`s pretty slow...but come up against him.
Conclusion: First of all, I'm not a great "sports" fan on consoles so I have very little to compare this title to apart from fifa 07 which I also have. Out of the two, PES is far better, no it doesn't have all the official teams and that jazz but it really doesn't matter to me - the gameplay however does, and that's where PES comes into it's own.
Conclusion: Perhaps its a bit harsh to give it one start however this game is rather poor. seeing as this is the frist pro evo on 360 and xbox in general the expectation in my opinion wern't great. the game has brilliant GRAPHICS. but the gameplay is shocking, completely awful. pretty much impossibly to score out of the box, touches are poor and late with reacting. in comparison to ps2 the playstation graphics are worse however the gameplay is class.
