Conclusion: Had it..opened it up..loaded it..played 2 games..put back in envelope and return. Was so much looking forward to this after the FIFA 06 bi-game disaster yet it does not look like a 360 title. Average graphics, blundering commentary and just another football game. Nothing about this game lived upto pre-launch hype Oh well perhaps one day we will see a good footy game on the 360.
Conclusion: Xbox 360 gamers have been screwed again with another games release that is worse than the current gen system version (madden 07 anyone??). PES6 is missing saved replays, edit mode, has less stadiums, some slowdown is experienced and many players are having issues on xbox live. A petition has been started for Konami to release a patch to bring the game up to the same standards as a on the ps2 and xbox http://www.petitiononline.com/proevo6/petition.html Everyone who owns a...
Conclusion: I have to say that Fifa 07 beats this game hands down! For all the hype surrounding PES6, I am absolutely stunned at how poor it is. I had PES5 on the PS2 last year and the gameplay was tonnes better. I also had it on the PSP and that was better than PES6 on the 360! I cannot understand how the programmers at Konami can't take a leaf out of the EA Sports book and design some decent menu options!
Excerpt: Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end PES wins. We have come to expect this over the last six years but now with the world getting enthralled in the shiny appeal of next-gen gaming people want more bang for their buck.
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Xbox 360): PES 6 VS FIFA 07
13 January 2010
Summary: Well PES and FIFA have long been fighting each other for the best football title, FIFA always being slightly ahead. PES6 received high scoring reviews, however it got the general criticism about not containing licensed clubs ect. Really i think its all down to your style of play, FIFA 07 is far more in-depth than PES 6, with more complicated menus and deeper team management, but the gameplay wasnt as enjoyable as PES6's was to me.
Pros: Is good fun for the casual gamer, has gained a few licensed clubs from PES5
Cons: Has a small amount of clubs/leagues, AI is poor, especially goalkeepers, annoying commentary.
Summary: Albeit highly out of date by now this is the best football game I have played online before and although it shouldn't really be comedy value some of the parts of the game were brilliant, numerous times me and a few mates have plsyed together and had brilliant laughs playing this game that we never had playing Pro evilution soccer 2008.
Excerpt: "...than the new one! The new pro evo lags very badly online so most pro evo users have stuck with pro 6. I picked this game up for just £4 from gamestation - i was a bit wary whether anyone would actually still be playing it! But when i logged on i was shocked to see loads of people online. It was quickly explained to me that everyone preferes this as it just plays so smoothly! The graphics are a marked improvement on pervious versions, it actually ...
Excerpt: "...is the Japanese version while pro evolution is the English version. But to make the review simple, winning eleven is better than the pro evolution because it has some additional features like the game replay, the fastness and even in graphics. Lets get back to the game play. Just like I was writing, the game play came with some features of disappointment. The players are very slow, the commentary very dull and the rest of them. Well from time, ...
Pros: NICE GRAPHICS WITH GOOD PLAYERS RESEMBLANCE .
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (Xbox 360): best footy game around
26 October 2008
Summary: having always been a fan of the fifa series i decided to give PES a try as i was told i was missing out. Having come from the fifa series i found the gameplay quite tricky to begin with, the movement of the players and such is much more realistic which results in the game being far harder.
