Strong game nails the basics of the sport.

Common Sense Media

  • Summary: Parents need to know that PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2011 is online enabled soccer simulation game, but players can also play offline alone or against another human opponent using another controller. This is briskly paced soccer action that has a nice range of difficulty settings so that players can tailor the game to their skills. The games will take time to play. Up to eight players can participate in an online match.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (Xbox 360) Review

411mania.com
30 October 2010
  • Summary: All in all though, Pro Evolution 2011 is a massive improvement over the last few games in the series. While by no means perfect, Konami have finally shown a glimpse of the capabilities that made the brand famous in the first place. For the first time in a long time, I'm actually looking forward to where they take the series next. Hopefully Pro Evolution 2011 is a sign of things to come as Konami finally gain a little ground on the FIFA series.

  • Conclusion: Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is a huge achievement over previous years. Konami's developers have seemed to have locked down a solid method to make a really good soccer game. Geared towards soccer purists Pro Evolution Soccer brings the goods with improved controls, tons of gameplay options and gorgeous presentation, but requires a bit more effort and patience.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011

  • Excerpt: It’s a telling sign when every time we popped in Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, we found ourselves constantly grinning even as we were yelling and screaming during every tense play. For example, during one of our game sessions, a normal shot on goal led to a Ruud van Nistelrooy garbage-rebound strike into the old onion bag. Spontaneous moments like this made us realize just how much fun we were having.
  • Pros: + Playing through the UEFA Champions League is awesome., + Goofy unlockable content.
  • Cons: - Authenticity cripples having a true soccer experience., ? Maybe PES can get the same licensing as FIFA one day?

  • Excerpt: Football  (soccer to the Americans) is considered to be the greatest sport of all time. The goal is simple: put that ball in that net. Newcomers always believe it can’t be that difficult to score, but veterans know it’s how the goal is made that is the most important aspect. The game is made of a series of intricate passes and stylish, individual skill.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 Xbox 360 Review

Console Obsession
9 October 2010
  • Excerpt: My love affair with Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer series lasted 6 long years. You can double that to 12 if you count the International Superstar Soccer games too. For such an astonishingly lengthy period of my gaming life, Konami’s series of footballing titles had been a constant addiction. Then Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 appeared on the Xbox 360.
