It is impossible to play online.
28 August 2008
Summary: The Winning Eleven playability is as ever, but I expected more from this game. The graphics are reasonable, the replay is very poor. Much worse than Playstation 2. I can't play online. The lag is terrible. Don't buy this game.
Summary: I am a PES die hard fan since winning eleven 6, but PES 08's online play is really very absolutely HORRIBLE, how can Konami makes this one's online play worse than PES 07. If you enjoy offline play, this is the one for you, but if you prefer online play, AVOID it and save your $ for PES 09...
Conclusion: Where to start pes 4 was the greatest pes ever but jump to pes 6 and then it got less and less stuff and licenses and then pes 7 With even less licenses and no pes (which is money) one of the best things about pro was the pes.
Summary: What a shame. They have ruined PES. I have been a very keen player of PES since the original versions on the PS. They may have improved the visuals, but have certainly killed gameplay in the process.
Excerpt: I have had this game for about year so far, played it half year online...I am quite gutted that the online is so poor and the game is so poorly created. The fouls are really stupid i.e. if you nudge someone penalty straight away...The online is really poor, nearly in 80% of games there is lag.
Not what i expected... so frustrating and annoying

Summary: Ive only had this game a couple of days, and already im wishing i hadnt brought it. It has to be the most annoying and frustrating Football game i have ever played. The passing system is a joke, the tackling is non existant.
Summary: The great thing about Pro Evolution has been its incredible addictive qualities, the realism and online-play. This game is by far the shabbiest of releases I have witnessed a developer release on retail.
Summary: I've come to love pro evo after being a FIFA fanatic for many years on my ps2. My housemate bought PES2008 for the ps2, and one of the features was a superb 'community' section. This is where you can play your friends with whatever team and it logs your scores, goals, the lot.
Summary: Im a pro evo fan boy. So i paid £34.99 on release day for this. I'll explain through pros and cons my 2 star rating. + Gameplay same quality free flowing football. -Sound -Presentation -Graphics -XBL (Played my mate who lives 5 min drive- Lag like you would never believe!
