Summary: Prey was a pretty decent game, but got pretty old towards the end. I gave it a low lasting appeal because it started getting a little to repetitive. I bought it cheap for getting a gamerscore boost and it worked. I got about 700 points by just beating the game. I had some fun here and there, but one thing that really annoyed me was the loud heart beat everytime your health would go low.
Summary: At full price this game fails but from the clearance bin it's worth a try. It's a Doom type shooter with off the wall visuals. Things start off with a bang with several interesting moments & backdrops but quickly become dated & repetitive. I got about 8 hours of play in before I became bored with it; will probably pop it back in someday to give it another go.
Summary: Prey Was First A PC Game Which Was Different From All The First Person Shooters. It Had A Great Story And Cool Puzzles. When I Purchased This Game For The 360 I Saw The Graphics Were Okay But Not Compared To The PC. This Game Is Multiplayer and Its Really Not That Great, Its Not Halo Ill Tell You That Much But If You Like To Have Fun And Shoot People For Fun It Will Take A Few Hours Of Your Life. But Soon You Will Become Bored And This Game Will Most Likely Collect Dust.
Summary: After playing the demo, Ive seen alot of neat features that the game had to offer. I then checked videos of gameplay to see what the full game is about. I liked what i've seen and decided to give it a try. What I found was just an ok experience all the way through. It wasnt the worst game I ever played and certainly wasn't the greatest game or even a good game. The story was very vague and didnt fit at all with the characters. The action was very limited and repetitive.
Summary: I'm a FPS gamer mainly; that is the main reason for my trying "Prey." I'm always down with an alien invasion storyline, but "Halo" this is NOT!!! The aliens in "Prey" are rather one dimentional. There's no motivation for an alien invasion in the middle of a reservation. There are no answers as to the reason that the aliens are here at all, or if there was a reason, I lost it in the rather flakey dialogue. A.I. is almost like shooting fish in a barrel.
Summary: I heard that this game was a shooter unlike any other, and it was just that. I've been told that this game runs off of the DOOM engine, making everything appear slimy and almost shiny. An interesting concept, I would reccimend this game, but not at full price.
Summary: From what I understand, Prey has been in the making since the days of the N64 and has gone through many iterations. Stacking it up to current shooters, I can assure you the game hasn't changed much since its development cycle in that early era (which is bad for a next-gen game and sadly the norm for a launch title).
Summary: Prey is a first person shooter powered by the Unreal Tournament 3D engine. The basic plot is you get kidnapped by aliens to be turned into either a genetically mutated mindless slave or scrapple, both of which sound undesirable. So after you escape, you now have to rescue your butt ugly girlfriend and kill a lot of aliens. Hearing the main character comment on things in the game is amusing. This is an adult game because of violence and profanity. The gameplay is fun.
Summary: Dont know where to start. First of all The storyline isnt anything spectacular, or for that matter horrible. The graphics are ok but nothing really stood out. Yet if you are looking for easy achievment points this is a great game. The one thing this game does have is alot of innovative gameplay. You will find yourself shooting alien weapons (not the usual pistol, shotgun, machine gun).
