Summary: Very nice FPS with innovative twists (remember that this is a 2006 game). It uses the same game engine as Doom 3, but in ways that Doom 3 didn't. The variable gravity is done very well. It is often the only way through a linear zone, but occasionally, it offers alternative ways to solve a problem.
Summary: Prey starts out looking like it's going to be a normal FPS where aliens invade Earth and start harvesting people. Been there, done that, I know. Fortunately, it quickly becomes a very unique story with great gameplay additions that make it different enough to really enjoy it. It's a bit hard to explain why it's different but if you love these types of games you owe it to yourself to check it out.
Summary: Prey is a pretty cool game. The gravity shifting, unique level designs, and creepy atmosphere are the major strong suits here. The action isn't quite spectacular but it's still pretty solid overall. The weak points of the game in my opinion are the story and voice acting. They just came across as clunky and cheesy to me, which is a shame because the basic premise is intriguing. I'd still say the game is worth a look though, for its unique gameplay and surreal world.
Summary: Compared to Halo, yes, this game isn't great, but as far as unique quality and concepts, this game nailed it. The story is unique, the environment and atmosphere this game creates is extraordinary. I know this game is old and the graphics are dated, but it still plays better than most games released today, and most importantly, it's fun.
Summary: Found this game pretty entertaining, played it years after it's release and it has aged better than most. The thing I find most interesting is that this game did portals before portal, down to the fact that they are blue and orange (portal did it a lot better, but blatantly took the idea from prey) Good mix of gameplay, with a decent story and steady pacing. Worth having a look.
Summary: Easily one of the best games I've ever played. Prey is a Sci-fi Shooter with a very interesting story (you are Tommy, a native American who has been abducted by aliens and the fate of the world lies in your hands), nice graphics and awesome weapons.
Summary: I bought this game because I needed something to stall me until Call of Duty: Ghosts was released. I stumbled upon an epic game full of emotion, action, and adventure. The graphics are not INCREDIBLY bad since they are from 2006. The audio is amazing, the pulsing noise emitting from a deadly alien creature is very realistic. The storyline is very good with plenty of scenes that make you want to replay them again and again.
