Going All In | Poker Night 2 Review

25 July 2013
  • Conclusion: This isn’t to say Poker Night 2 is a bad game at all. On a technical level, only a few issues like those pop up, but it’s only a poker game. Poker Night 2 gives fan service to the characters involved with the well-written dialog and the unlockable themes. Those that love playing the game of Texas Hold ‘Em or Omaha should find this a fine experience for what is offered, and can even get a little practice out of it for future games among friends or strangers.
  • Pros: +Well written dialog, +Unlockable items
  • Cons: -Unexpected slow down, -Repetitive audio cues

Game Informer
24 April 2013
  • Conclusion: Concept: Host the world’s weirdest game of poker Graphics: Contrasting art styles are interesting to see sitting around the same table Sound: Quirky dialogue (and lots of it) is the star of this game Playability: As a poker game, it’s mediocre Entertainment: Play it for the dialogue, as there isn’t much else here Replay: Moderately Low

Poker Night 2

1 April 2013
  • Excerpt: From the developers that brought us one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012 The Walking Dead , come their next installment, Poker Night 2 . Unlike the strenuous nerve racking experience of the aforementioned game, Poker Night 2 harkens back to the old PC Poker days of yesterday and if you're old enough, you may remember that quite a few games by Sierra Entertainment featured some of their classic video game characters in similar gambling situations.

Test: Poker Night 2

23 May 2013
  • Summary: Einmal mit Sam (& Max), Claptrap aus Borderlands 2, Ash Williams aus Evil Dead und Brock aus The Venture Bros. an einem Tisch sitzen und ne Runde Poker zocken. Mensch, das wär ja mal was!
