At World’s End , the third installment in the series, is looking to add a few more million to that total when the movie hits theaters on May 25, 2007.

  • Excerpt: Name: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End Genre: Adventure System: Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, DS, Wii, PS2, PC (Reviewed on 360) The original Pirates of the Caribbean is one of my favorite movies of all time. When the sequel came out last year I was not disappointed, and after seeing the finale of the trilogy I am happy to say that I was impressed.

  • Summary: It's almost hard to believe in this day and age of movie and game tie-ins, but other than a couple of handheld games, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest didn't have a companion game on consoles. Disney Interactive Studios is making up for lost time with Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which features plotlines from both the second and third Pirates movies.
  • Pros: Graphics are nice, particularly the character likenesses, Finishing moves are kind of fun, Does a decent job of matching the look and feel of the movies
  • Cons: Basic combat is dreadfully boring, Mission objectives are uninteresting, All the playable characters play the same way

  • Conclusion: There are worse ways to spend a few hours than playing At World's End, but most of them involve prison. This is a completely banal and uninteresting outing for Jack Sparrow, and should be given as wide a berth as possible.

  • Summary: With a great trio of films backing it, the new Pirates of the Caribbean game should probably be another one of those games that is shamefully released to rake in some extra funds from Jack Sparrow fans, but there is something a little different about At Worlds End. It actually looks and feels like a proper game!
