Summary: Let me get something straight. I liked this game. A LOT. I think its tons of fun once you get all the controls down and then figure out the different tactics which each minion. It is a fun mix between combat and puzzle solving, something few games actually achieve. My only dislike was the story. Not that it wasn't funny or entertaining but it didn't really give me much room in the way of deciding what type of villain I would be. Great game. however.
Summary: Silly, simple, and fun. This is a great game for those times you don't want something intense or time consuming. I only wish there was more "stuff" to do (building, tunneling, etc) in the Overlord's tower, like in Dungeon Keeper.
Summary: I really, really can't overstate how much I enjoy this game. Perfections and imperfections all, I love this thing for it's style, for it's humor, for it's constant and unnapologetic stroking of my ego. It appeals to me personally on so many levels I wouldn't know where to begin. Which should be the first sign that it ain't for everyone. Overlord is, at it's heart, a fast-paced puzzle game.
Summary: The game is perfect for people looking for something simple, and fun to pass the time. The controls are simple, gameplay is simple, and the concept is simple. There are many things great about this game and many things bad about it as well. The story is not engaging, but does have fun quests at times. The minions follow your orders, there are some stragglers that refuse to listen.
Summary: Whats there not to like? Our whole lives we : go to school, obey our parents, play by the rules, and fall in line like a bunch of blind sheep while fighting off idiots at work and in traffic everyday. THIS GAME HOWEVER! Lets YOU ROB STEAL KILL PILLAGE.....lets be real, we all need this release....
Summary: I finally decided to order Overlord for the 360 on Amazon for 6 dollars. I wasn't sure what to expect, having never really heard of it prior. It came, I popped it in and well, I never looked back. I've been playing it almost exclusively for the past 4 days now and I am blown away by how much of a wonderful game this is. As the game opens you (the overlord) is being woken up from a long slumber by some wicked little gremlins you'll later refer to as "minions".
Summary: I really liked this game. Overall it was very entertaining and well worth $20. There were some funny parts but some of the repetitive sayings could get annoying. The peasants would say the same thing every time you walked past them and the first time I was very tempted to go evil and kill them to make them be quiet. The main thing that bothered me was the lack of some type of map or even something telling me what direction I was walking.
