Summary: At the current price of 600 pts this game is the steal of the century. Even at full price of 1200pts it is a much better bargain than most disc based games and longer too with more replay value. I guess there are two possible complaints about the game, neither of which for me deserves a reduction in quality. There is no multiplayer and also is hack and slash based. Apart from those two possible criticisms I think this game is outstanding and must own.
Summary: I picked this game up on Steam when it was for sale at $2.79. I bought it not expecting much. What I discovered was a incredibly fun that is surprisingly tactical in nature. I found myself replaying level after level trying to improve my strategy to get a better score. In a nutshell this game has you laying down different types of traps in hallways that orcs will be coming down. Your job is stop all of them using the arsenal of traps and special weapons.
Summary: Orcs Must Die is a Tower Defense/Third person shooter hybrid whereby you control a "War-mage" that has to stop his realm from being overrun by Orcs, Ogres and other types of fantasy-creatures that make their way to the "Rift". Once enough Orcs make it into the rift, the player loses the game. In order to prevent the Orcs from doing so, the player will be granted a new trap, "spell" (I.E.
Summary: More and more shooter-td hybrids are popping up, though I can't say I really mind that. Orcs Must Die! perfectly blends the two genres in a way that requires you to take advantage of both the traps AND your weapons. You can't just shoot the orcs, nor can you can't just sit back and let your traps do the work. The difficulty curve is perfect, it never gets too hard or too easy.
Summary: This is a fun game to pass the time, however I don't see anyone dropping more than ten bucks on this game; Steam sales are what keep a game like this alive. While each level is different and offers it's own challenges, soon you will meet the end of the game. The only replay value after that, is difficulty changes, which is a shame because a dungeon maker could have put a lot of life in this title.
Summary: You can Crush, slice, burn, impale, shoot, explode and any other form of death you can imagine with medieval technology, swarms of orks with absolute glee. It's one of the most fun games of late and setting up a lethal series of obstacles and releasing orks through it, all the while bearing arms yourself and dispensing them hand to hand, is really satisfying.
Summary: The Defense game along with action-adventure is a formula that i would never imagine it would work this good. A thing to have in mind is that sometimes the camera doesn't do the best thing when moving arround.
Summary: There is Nothing special about this game. The gameplay become boring very soon, and there are no interesting feature. You can spend some minutes with this game, but after that amount of time the fate of teh game is uninstall.
Summary: I'm rating this 10 based on it's cost and the enjoyment factor you get from that. I've paid a lot more for AAA titles recently that don't come close to the pure fun factor of this game and which bored me very quickly. I"ve put 18 hours in to Orcs Must DIe and am still loving it. Can't recommend it highly enough. Definitely lots of replayablility due to the difficulty settings and sometimes because you just want to kill Orcs in new ways with newer traps on old maps.
