Game doesn't work

Matthew Wilkinson, Amazon

  • Summary: The game plays the first mission and then freezes my xbox. I have tried playing on several different Xbox's, and it does the same thing. I believe that I received a defective copy.

  • Summary: Purchased for my son, he was very happy to receive this as a gift. He managed to finish the game in. Only a few weeks, and then it's onto the next game!

meh

Ashton P. Johnson "Zepaw", Amazon

  • Summary: The controls were sketchy, the visuals were mediocre, the story was nothing special. Despite the interesting concept of the potential co-op it really did nothing to stand out from the already too large crowd of modern military shooters.

Great game for the mature gamer

  • Summary: I bought Operation Flashpoint last weekend, and I love this game. I played the original Flashpoint on PC and was happy to see a new version on the xbox. I see a lot of people bad mouthing this game and I think the problem is with the player's expectations and not with Flashpoint. Sorry everyone, this isn't your typical first person shooter.

  • Summary: While I liked the fairly simple control scheme and the fact that for the most part you can get away with just having your squad follow you, I didn't really enjoy it that much. The graphics are pretty dated and too brown I can live with that, gameplay is what matters. The problem is that gameplay isn't great, it's tedious and boring in that you don't feel much like tactics matter the While I liked the fairly simple control scheme and the fact that for the most part you...

Great concept, poor controls, glitchy

Chris, Amazon
19 November 2013
  • Summary: I was basically looking for a realistic alternative to COD or battlefield. Pros: -I like that most of the missions are based on strategy, you may have to run a mile to set up an approach, but I think that that adds to the realism. -The map is huge, you're not confined to one path, you can go where ever you want. -You have to take consideration for bullet drop and flight time. Cons: -Game play frequently interrupted by glitches or fumbling with controls and commands.

operation flashpoint

  • Summary: Right out of the gate this is a five star game, I love the realism, you are a 4 man team and you have to attack every objective with strategy and intelligence, unlike the more popular Call of Duty arcade style games where guns blazing no concern for well being will get you through every mission no problem.

Stormsson, Metacritic

  • Summary: The game is very beautiful, the only negative aspect i can say is an A.I. a bit "slow" in short range combats. The game itself is very neat, good graphic and quite realistic.
