Summary: I'm a big fan of 2ksports games. I feel they are better than EA in many ways. The hockey game has enough detail to please real hockey fanatics, but also is easy enough to learn for the amateur/casual fan. I recently bought the game (nearly 2 years after its original release) and it seems the online lobbies are no longer functioning, but you can still play friends online using the 'invite a friend' feature.
Summary: the game arrived safely and in perfect condition.I'd consider buying from them again. Personally though i prefer the NHL 2008 version for the PS2 better because you use both control sticks for everything, and it was hard to go back to using the buttons.
Summary: Players get to control there favorite hockey team all the way from front office decisions down to minor league call ups. Manage your favorite team for a whole season, can't play that long custom lenght season availabe with full meun of choices of how you want to play your season. Great game lots of passing, shooting and checking from Hockey's biggest stars.
Summary: You are going to find a bunch of EA Fanboys around bashing this new game. I just bought it and have found it great! The goalies and AI are enhanced and the gameplay is very fun. I have followed this series a long while and it is great! They even allow you to use 2k7 controls if you dont feel like adapting! i recommend this 100%. That being said 2008 is good in its own sense. A little slow for my liking but i find this one more fun.
Summary: For the money $$$, NHL 2K8 is the best looking hockey gamethis year hands down. The ice is slick and gets torn up as skaters race across it, the screen pops with color and action, and the players are always moving and hungry for the puck. Here is the Question NHL 08 or 2K8? I'm here to tell you about 2K's impressive and intensive take on the NHL. Like I said before, I realize you're a hockey fan, but I can't assume you know about 2K's history on the ice.
