Summary: I'm rating this a bit late, but it still needs to be reviewed. I believe the game is great, but it faults in a few areas; such as main anvigation. It has a overly complex main menu to enter seasons and skrimiges. The practice mode( to improve your team) is a little weak as well. Probably unnecessary too. The gameplay is complex. If you love button masher games you'll love this. Combos and slap shots require a number of buttons to be hit in order to perform.
Summary: I definitely recommend you buy this game. It's so much worth the couple of dollars you have to pay. The rosters are out of date, and EA's game has advanced a lot, but this still, BY FAR, has the best gameplay on any next-gen hockey game. Not to mention the textures and arenas are fantastic.
Summary: I'm a big fan of 2ksports games. I feel they are better than EA in many ways. The hockey game has enough detail to please real hockey fanatics, but also is easy enough to learn for the amateur/casual fan. I recently bought the game (nearly 2 years after its original release) and it seems the online lobbies are no longer functioning, but you can still play friends online using the 'invite a friend' feature.
Summary: Truthfully, I bought the game because my 2 1/2 year old son wanted me to get a hockey game for the Xbox. He enjoys watching it on TV, so he wanted me to get a game too. It is fun to play. I'm not really that great with the controller, so it is difficult to maximize the game experience that the game offers. Overall, I think it is a great game. It looks very realistic.
Summary: the game arrived safely and in perfect condition.I'd consider buying from them again. Personally though i prefer the NHL 2008 version for the PS2 better because you use both control sticks for everything, and it was hard to go back to using the buttons.
