The game NHL 08 aims to go through the light again with the ‘08 edition of its annual event. Running on an all-new skating engine, which means new analog speed control of the left stick that gives the player the variance he needs to glide into the zone with control or get a burst of speed to step up on a defender. One single player may be enough or several of them to continue the game.

The player gets the control to perform crossovers to maintain speed or carve tight turns for an immediate change in direction. Also he may get more control over 1-on-1 match ups. He will use his stick to push the puck into space and walk around his defender. Once all players are in front, improved stick handling and shooting accuracy will gain the toolset to beat the goaltender for that decisive goal.
