Summary: As an old fan of hockey games I was excited for this to come out. After a little while of playing and completing a plethura of games played against friends, I realized this game wasn't for me and lacked the fun element. I felt like you could score at any time with a one-timer.

Summary: I am of the opinion that they haven't made a really good hockey game since NHL hockey for Sega Genesis. Yes, the graphics have gotten better and they have put some cool things into recent games. But the fun factor has diminished since Sega.
Summary: I've been playing EA's NHL series since NHL 93. In those years I've been continously frustrated with EA's annual releases, which usually involved better graphics, more character animations and little else.
Summary: I can't believe it's happened again... even after I said I wasn't going to do it - I've gone out and purchased NHL 2K7 after buying NHL 07. Now, after before anyone here thinks I'm going to glorify 2K and put down the EA series I must step in and say both titles definitely have their shortcomings.
