Summary: EA is back to take another stab at arcade-style football with NFL Tour. You may remember the NFL Street series on the PS2 and Xbox. Well, NFL Tour is pretty much the same game minus the thug attitude.
Excerpt: NFL Street certainly wasn’t a series that was going to persuade fans of football (the American kind) to part with their cash if they solely preferred the more serious sim. Indeed, Street was a completely different beast from the Madden series and could be better approached by those who may not...
Conclusion: Concept: Gut the NFL Street franchise and set it on fire like an abandoned car on the roadside
Graphics: You'll recognize a number of pro players by their likenesses
Sound: Perhaps here is where Hollywood's writer's strike has hit the hardest, because Trey Wingo's lines are brutal
Summary: If I were the NFL, I'd be seriously questioning my relationship with EA. Sure, Madden sells, but any football game with the NFL license will do that. Is the rest of the partnership really worth it?
Summary: NFL Tour is a new NFL licensed game where gamers will be able to embark on a fictional NFL road show. With real NFL players as teammates, players will travel across the country to play against each of the NFL teams in newly designed stadiums.
Conclusion: Overall, NFL Tour was a good idea, but they fell very short of what they were presenting. With no way to advance or increase your player's stats, the actual tour mode feels like just a bunch of exhibition games over and over. The two tacked on game-types are boring and repetitive as well.
Summary: When EA unveiled NFL Tour, the question many people found themselves asking was "What's the difference between NFL Tour and NFL Street?" After spending a lot of the time with the game, we can finally reveal the answer: NFL Tour isn't played on the street.
Pros: Simple controls are easy to pick up and play, Someone was smart enough to not charge the standard $60 for what is essentially an arcade game
Cons: Trey Wingo's repetitive jokes about repetitive announcers stink, Trey Wingo's repetitive jokes about repetitive announcers stink, Not many game modes and too few customization options, Defense is pretty pointless, Trey Wingo's repetitive jokes about repetitive announcers stink
Summary: With the recent success of the New York Giants in the Superbowl I really wanted a fun NFL game in which I could pick up and play easily. This is where EA Sport’s Big's new title comes into play - NFL TOUR.
Pros: Fun alternative to the Madden series, Easy to pick up and play for a novice, Easy achievements
Cons: Terrible commentary, Terrible commentary, Poor defence, Lack of mini games
Summary: Play football a whole new way with NFL Tour. Take on the league’s top players in rock festivaltype atmospheres under the night skies of America's hottest cities and make a name for yourself in hard-hitting seven-on-seven football action.
