Summary: Like many other reviewers, I was disappointed. With the concept of "A 3000 mile race, coast to coast," I was excited for a good, long racing game. Turns out you shouldn't buy this game when you can rent it and finish it in a casual evening. I played for 2.5-3 hours and completed the story mode with no problems, aside from the complete lack of a story. If you want a NFS game, go with Hot Pursuit or Carbon.
Summary: One of the best racing games that I've ever played. You have "The Run" which is story mode, and then there are several challenge modes which are my favorite. You get to race with certain objectives that you have to beat. And then u have online racing which is fun because u get to race people from all over the world. It has the most race cars on any game I've ever seen.
Summary: I've always liked the Need for Speed series, but this was my favorite since the Underground games, and maybe my favorite of all time. Playing through it, I kept thinking this is so awesome it should be a movie, and the eventually (loosely) based the 2014 movie off of this game. I'd have liked an online multiplayer that was coast to coast since so many terrain types are included in the game, but I don't think that would have done anything but make a great game even...
Summary: Fun game but gets old and annoying. I like that your always driving on a new road and it actually feels like your driving cross country. Just all the cars feel really similar and there isn't any modification or tuning to cars which I enjoy in racing games.
Summary: Played NFS Hot Pursuit, Most Wanted and Rivals as well as a few unlisted. I went to various stores but they run out of this game (no one got that, good). If it is racing, chances are i will like it.
Summary: This game is one of my all time favorite high speed driving games. The seamless visuals, spot on vehicle control, sound, the whole package is amazing. I'm looking forward to 'racing' online against the true competition now.
Summary: All I want to do is race. I don't want to do the auto-gymnastics such as dragging, drifting (as a race) or anything like that--I want to get on the open road and go. And I want to have fun doing it. There's no open world tooling around here, just point-to-point racing on two lane blacktop (usually) and I'm having fun with it, though at times I get stuck and my 15-year old son has to bail me out.
