Need for Speed ProStreet
Reviewer: gamesxtreme.net27 February 2008- Overall 7

It's time to go back to the grass-roots of Need for Speed and definitely make a sequel about fast cars, sports cars like the Mercedes McLaren SLR and the Bugatti Veyron. Not a bad game, nothing to write home about. Fairly linear. Read more

NFS: ProStreet is an accomplished title, but why the change? The street racing of the previous games was far more fun, and to be honest, wasn't tired yet, although Carbon was pretty rubbish, that was more down to the handling and graphics and gameplay issues when compared to Most Wanted or NFSU. Well, the gamer that knew quality beyond the pale of movie tie-ins and other such mediocre to poor software. It’s fair to say that EA have enjoyed a renaissance over the past few years, for you see, EA have been knocking out quality software at an alarming rate. Read more

All in all ProStreet is a more than innovating game in the NFS-family, mostly thanks to the circuit racing, the long career mode and some new game types. You can see it as a Hot Pursuit 2 mixed with Carbon but without cops and completely legal. The game is a worthy successor in the series although the controls could have been better. Hopefully we'll be getting more from this but a bit better. Read more
