Summary: Where to begin? I love college football, and a group of my buddies wait anxiously each year for the new iteration of NCAA Football to play our annual online dynasty. But this year has been very disappointing. First let's start with technical issues we've encountered. 1. Custom Playbooks. It's amazing how a feature that was a staple of last gen systems can be so poorly translated into the current gen systems (and late, I might add).
Summary: Madden, NCAA, and NBA2k are the only video games I play. I'm not great at them, but I don't typically have to play on easy to win. My biggest complaint about this game is that they have made it too hard on anything but easy. If I bump it up above easy, the corner backs make 10 yard breaks on and pass pattern with a cut and the linebackers knock down anything thrown over the middle if with their AI sliders turned all the way down.
Summary: It is hard to know where to begin with NCAA 2012. The last couple years have seen good progress and I spent a load of time playing the 2010 incarnation but this years title is broken. I have barely been able to play online let alone be able to give you a wide sample set of the game but what I was able to play is a very laggy mess. Top it all off with Defense overcompensation. There are literally no more incomplete passes, either a huge gain or an interception.
EA, please finish your game before you release it...
26 August 2011
Summary: I enjoy playing this game, but I HATE all the glitches. The EA servers seem to be working about 60% of the time(that is an F), which has caused me to lose several games on online dynasty that I actually won. However, they sim the games after the results didn't upload which always gives me a big L in bowl games and rivalry games.
Summary: Game is bad, truly bad. There's tons of problems with it, and they can't possibly have been overlooked by testers, which leads me to believe they didn't bother with testing the game. First off, AI play calling is a joke, coaches will hand the ball off 40 times a game regardless of the situation, down by 7 with 2 minutes left? Enjoy your draw, and dive plays.
Summary: If you haven't bought this game yet there is the chance that you are on the fence, you might not be a big college football fan or you are debating whether to get the new years game or just play last year's. If you are on the fence are want a quick answer on whether or not you should buy it, the short answer is no. There are many pros to the game.
