Summary: Poor AI and gameplay: the CPU pass offense is unstoppable even when you adjust the sliders. The AI QB will complete 80% of his passes, and the only incompletions are the interceptions which are all too common. Don't expect the CPU to run the ball much either.
Summary: I love football, been a fan for 20 years. I've played Madden and College football for over a decade so I know how its supposed to look and play. First off NCAA '09 looks great and moves great. The animation is top-notch, I'm always noticing little touches, beautiful for most part.
Summary: For a third straight year the idiots at EA have once again failed to produce a worthwile college football game. This year the biggest issue is that defense has been left entirely out of the game. The defensive secondary and the defensive line are basically a nonfactor in the game.
Summary: The game is still just ok. It has never been the same since the transition from NCAA football 07 on xbox to xbox 360. The controls changed on 360, the recruiting changed and got so ridiculous that its near impossible to get the recruit you want, even if he has your school as his number 1 pick of...
Summary: Awful. I believe that this is what EA deems a revolution in gaming: tweak the graphics, offer (stupid) minigames like bowling, and provide the ability to play as mascots. I completely agree with the other reviews regarding the lack of defense.
Summary: I have owned NCAA 09 for a couple days now and there has already been some big problems I've had with it. For one, after I scored a touchdown the announcers acted as though the opposing team had scored and then I received the ball again on a kickoff that was supposed to be for the other team.
Summary: I have been buying the NCAA football games for the past 7 years and always enjoyed each year's new edition. However, after playing NCAA 09, I am sorely disappointed and am ready to sell it. There are two major problems with the game that make it pretty much unplayable on defense.
