Summary: The motions & movement of people's bodies in this game in general is amazing, particularly on the defensive end of the game. Defenders are keenly aware of the man they're guarding, relative to where the ball is.
Summary: I bought this game, NBA 2K9, for my great nephew for his 12th birthday which is today. He will like the game because he loves most sports games, especially basketball. Amazon had a good deal on this used game
Summary: It's the same as almost any other basketball game, just the price is cheaper. In the new games besides a few other newer features and the changes made from '09 to 2012 all you're really paying for is graphics when you buy 2K13 so yeah go ahead and buy this, or 2K10 whenever you can get 2K10 for a...
Summary: Playing this game is fun and will keep you busy throughout the NBA season and beyond. Lack of player emotion is puzzling like the gameplay sometimes. It seems as though 2K is losing its lead over NBA Live and needs to come up with fixed online servers and deliver their promise of up-to-the-minute...
Summary: NBA 2K9 is a fun game for basketball fans. First of all, I definitely DO NOT recommend that someone pays full retail price ($59.99) for this game if either A) you own another game in the series or B) it is more than 1/2 of the way into the season. That's just the fallacy of sports video games.
Pros: You can actually take a charge in this game.... for years the ability was there, but it wouldnt get called right or was too easy to sidestep the defender! Still far from perfect, but now you can step in and take the charge and maybe have it called as a charge not a block right!
Cons: Anybody else notice you can double jump in this game? Makes me feel like I'm playing Quake 3 Arena!
