Most of NBA 2K9 is awesome, but you’ve really got to want to learn how to play the game and get in-depth with the game. Spend enough time with it and you’ll get the hang of it enough. But, it’s a steep learning curve and those not willing to give the game its due time will get turned off rather quickly. Fun: I bought this game because it was $20 at BestBuy and I had a gift card. When I first started playing it was fun but as I have kept playing with my friends the game gets worse and worse. I usually play with Boston and my friends with LA. Stuff in this game is COMPLETELY unrealistic and goes against all common sense in basketball or just in life. Overall, I'd say this game is great, and I'd recommend getting it if you are interested in playing a good basketball game. If you are looking to save some money, it might not be a bad idea to get one of the old NBA 2K series, such as NBA 2k6 or NBA 2K7.
