Excerpt: There might be heated competition from EA’s NBA Live, but 2K’s NBA series is widely considered to be the best basketball series on the gaming court. The last game was a little lazy in terms of new content, but 2K7 is a totally different story as it brings some refreshing innovations to the series.
Conclusion: Nothing really glitched and difficulty setting do not interfere with any achievements. Online might have problems with some game servers taken off line. Final Thoughts: If your like basket ball or looking for easy achievements then this game would be very easy to do. If your looking for a good basketball experience then I would look at newer versions as the primary option.
Conclusion: There are many things to like about this game
such as the cool cinematic fast break that zooms
in on the last shot you made. It's also nice to
see some cool replays from Kenny as he delivers
his half-time stamp of approval. The
commentators even has the ability to call you
custom player by his real name, which is not
possible in all the basketball games we have
played so far. Sure these enhancements are nice
but you still can’t ignore certain shortcomings.
Summary: I started off my review by saying it and I might as well reiterate. This is the best basketball simulation that I have ever played. There’s so much to do, the gameplay is so tight and everything is so well done that I have a hard time imagining it leaving my gaming rotation anytime soon. There are a few flaws here and there but they’re all minor things that you quickly forget about as you get into the game.
Pros: Lots of camera angles; great animations; good song selection; fun and challenging at the same time; tons of modes; VIP system is still amazing; SIXAXIS integration is nice; possibly the greatest sports title out there.
Cons: Right-stick navigation is still a pain; visuals could still be improved; lack of ESPN license hurts a bit; doesn't have quite the impact that the 360 version did.
Excerpt: 2K Sports and Visual Concepts have done a remarkable job keeping the NBA 2K series going over the years. They have continued to put out quality basketball sims, and in the last several years, the 2K series has replaced the NBA Live series as the game of choice for basketball fans. The series has not changed all that much over the years.
Excerpt: The NBA season is in full swing and the team at Visual Concepts is taking its first shot at NBA basketball on the PlayStation 3. While the previous installment helped to usher in the next generation of the highly regarded 2K hoops series, NBA 2K7 fixes a lot of the problems found in its predecessor while rising far above the competition with solid gameplay both online and off.
