Summary: This game looked a bit more fun than the NASCAR simulation games. I am a fan of racing, including Nascar, but I find myself fast forwarding races instead of watching the full events these days. Simulation games are just as boring to me. Similar to golf, it would be more exciting if I was there in person or participating myself. That said, this looked like a goofy racing game. It IS a goofy racing game, but it's also riddled with problems.
Summary: The only thing this game has in common with NASCAR is a licensing deal that lends it driver names, car paint schemes, and the NASCAR brand name. NASCAR: Unleashed is an arcade style racer where any semblance of realism is completely tossed out the window. With the exception of the Daytona Oval track, all races are done through city streets and winding roads (some even dirt) strewn with obstacles and ramps to launch off of.
