Summary: Just about every aspect of this game is awesome -- the characters are all different, the graphics are exciting, and even the one-player mode is fun. I can't say much here that other reviewers haven't said better. I am giving this three stars though because the Komplete Edition comes with everything already unlocked. I thought it just included the downloadable content but otherwise was identical to the normal game.
Summary: I do like me some mortal kombat. It's all here. The huge cast of characters, the sick moves, brutal fatalities. Not much more could be asked for. However they did reinvent the plot kinda-sorta making every previous game completely worthless as far as any story they told goes. Not that many people care for the lore (as it's never exactly...good...) but still. Kind of a middle finger.
Summary: Although the description was 'good' on the CD I was disappointed at the markings on the CD. Since this is an xmas gift and I am not a 'gamer' I don't know if any are more than surface scratches and the CD will play without any issues. I won't know that until after xmas and I may be out the $. Now I wished I had just bought the new one or 'like new'.
Summary: Please note: This product no longer includes the soundtrack and movie download codes, just the on-disc original DLC content. I contacted Warner Bros when I saw the codes were missing and they informed me that the downloads expired 3 months ago and are no longer even available online.
Summary: If you like the MK series, you'll love this game. Can't complain about the game at all, but the shipper I bought from claimed the product was new, when it was obviously opened, used, and damaged. I sent it right back and bought the "Kollectors Edition" which comes with 2 high quality figurines, a book, some downloads, etc etc, much better value, it can be found for like 5 dollars more then the regular game by itself.
If you love the MK series, go ahead and buy it but don't expect magic.

Summary: I have been playing Mortal Kombat since it was released when I was a kid, and I can say this one is a 8/10 or maybe 8.5. I love the challenge tower, it is fun and good to keep your interest with random and sometime infuriating little tasks. The the story mode is seriously lacking. I read someone describe is as a B movie vibe, and I totally agree. It is nice to include a story mode period, however this one would have been better with a previous game's spin on it.
Summary: I got the Kollector's edition for half off, so I'm not too angry, but I can only imagine how pissed I would be if I had paid the full ~$100 this cost. Considering the game itself is only around ~$40, you pay ~$60 for: -An avatar skin -A lame looking t-shirt for your avatar -An ingame costume change -An artbook -Two bookends On paper, that doesn't sound like too bad of a deal, artbooks usually cost around $50 just by themselves.
Summary: Ok this is arguably the strangest best Mortal Kombat game on the 360 so far and I have played almost every mortal kombat game pre to the 360 era thus far. So I am going into great detail with this one. Because I feel I must do this. Ok here comes the laundry list of pros and cons. Pros "Good aspects to the game.
