Mini Ninjas Adventures

oxmonline.com
16 August 2012
  • Excerpt: Cutesy, bobblehead-like enemies toss explosive barrels, fling arrows, and swing swords at the brave ninja standing in their way — you. Luckily, you have a variety of ways to fight back…if you can get Kinect to recognize your movements. As Hiro, the black-clad hero from 2009 action-platformer Mini Ninjas ( OXM rating: 7.0), you’ll kick, slash, shoot (with arrows and shurikens), and magic-blast wizards, samurai, and zombie ninja across three worlds.
  • Pros: + Cute, simple motion-based gaming with RPG leveling; colorful presentation.
  • Cons: ? Why do your opponents have to be so darn cute? Even the zombies!

  • Conclusion: Despite its Kinect-oriented problems, Mini Ninjas Adventures’ sensibly organized gesture controls and ever escalating mechanics and complexity should compel players to return as soon as the lactic acid dissipates. Meanwhile, the cel-shaded visuals and lighthearted storytelling make it an easy recommendation for children, especially those still enamored with motion controls. Parents, of course, will remain more discerning, but you could do far worse with Kinect right now.

Mini Ninjas Adventures

Family Friendly Gaming
28 July 2012
  • Excerpt: Mini Ninjas was a cute franchise that millions of families all over the world enjoyed. Family Friendly Gaming enjoyed it as well. I was very excited to hear about Mini Ninja Adventures on the Xbox 360. This is a Kinect only downloadable title. Mini Ninjas Adventures puts us in the shoes of a mini ninja. We can hack and slash with swords, throw ninja stars, use a bow and arrow, kick enemies, and more.

Review - Mini Ninjas Adventures

one-gamer.com
29 July 2012
  • Conclusion: Had the game’s biggest selling point not been its ability to utilise the Kinect, then maybe Mini Ninja Adventures might have been worthy of a higher score. However given that it has a fairly unforgettable storyline and its main selling point is more than a little flaky, it’s certainly not deserving of anything higher.

  • Excerpt: You Are The Ninja by Chris Fox ©2012 Chris Fox Square Enix brings cutesy samurai slashing action to Kinect in the form of Mini Ninjas Adventures . The Mini Ninjas franchise takes a different direction this time around and has the player take sole control of Hiro, the mini-est Ninja.

OXCGN’s Mini Ninjas Adventures Kinect XBLA Review

OXCGN
13 July 2012
  • Conclusion: There are mini games to add a little spice to the mix, but they are merely scaled down versions of the main game. The objective is to simply kill the ‘X’ amount of enemies in the allotted time using only one weapon per game. These mini games are also for one player only and have no achievements or leader boards (the leader boards are for the main game only) rendering the mini games fairly pointless.

Mini Ninjas Adventures - Review

Gamezapp
30 July 2012
  • Cons: Steuerung schwierig, schnell aufkommende Langeweile, kaum Herausforderung, Kinect zwingend erforderlich
