Summary: This game has an excellent idea behind it and for the most part executes it well (improved on in the sequel too). Play with subtitles for authenticity you can't hide from, like the many radioactive ghouls you'll encounter in this 1st person shooter/survival horror title. I waited until it became cheap and it was worth the wait. One of the best sic-fi shooters of this generation albeit with a few none to serious flaws.
Very Good Game, Exellecnt for the FPS, Survival-Horror, and Stealth fan

Summary: Metro 2033, first in the metro series so far; Is an awesome game, that combines the FPS, Survival Horror, and Stealth genera. The game also has very light RPG elements in the form of a moral system and two possible endings. The best aspect of this game is the atmosphere, set in post-apocalyptic Moscow a nuclear war has ravaged the surface forcing people to take shelter in the Metro system and make a life there.
Summary: This game was so much fun. There were so many moments were my pulse quickened and I was sucked in by the suspense. It does all this without being cheesy or resorting to pure surprise scares. This game surprised me with the depth of its storytelling and balance of shoot 'em up action and the feel of a gritty survival horror game. The only things I disliked were the rather awkward controls and lack of npc interaction. Still, a super memorable game.
Summary: after playing metro, you could say fallout is a more light hearted experience , and metro is a proper apocalypse, where most of the living haven't seen the sky and to go surface side you need a gas mask, i must say i was impressed with this game the mechinics are fresh and original the game reminds me of old survival horror games conserving scarce ammunition and supplies not to mention the ammuntion your fireing is the world's currency that you need to resupply yourself...
An excellent story amid a sea of other plot-less videogames.

Summary: I just finished playing this game and overall, it was refreshing to play a game with such a deep plot now a days. I would compare it to bioshock in its story and environment uniqueness. It is one of those games that compels you to keep playing until you reach the end. The part I enjoyed the most was the well through out and complete plot. You play Artyom, a Russian citizen-turned-soldier in a post apocalyptic Moscow.
Pros: Story, Stealth or Strength, Variety of weapons and environments, variable plot choices, excellent graphics
Cons: Auto-save locations seem haphazardly placed and activate regardless of the current game situation, difficult controls at some points
