Reviews and Problems with Metal Gear Solid: Rising
Showing 1-8 of 8
This is one of those very rare times that I gave up playing before the end
23 March 2014
Summary: I have never played a traditional MG game before, because they do not appeal to me. I was aware that this was an action spin-off, a genre that I am attracted to. DmC is a game that I enjoyed a lot, for example (although that too was far from perfect). I could not finish this game. I became bored with the gameplay, story and world very quickly. --Gameplay-- Unlike most action games, in each fight you are able to slow down the action to a crawl by entering "Blade Mode".
Summary: Here we go again.I reviewed this game once already but due to the severe crying caused by gamers inability to deal with fact & reality it was removed , but that's not a problem I can write it again.and here I am,writing it again.this review may be deemed controversial by the die hard fanboys out there but I don't mind offending the audience.after all ,you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs, and you guessed it .it's omelette making time so here I go again with...
Summary: I havn't played such a awful like this in awhile, not to mention very short. You can complete it in under 5 hours. constant button bashing, bad load times, crashing and really bad camera view. I got this game off a friend for $7 and i still hated it. it's not worth the time or money. theres much better games coming out.
Summary: The fact that only a dozen people have so far reviewed MGR in the space of two weeks says a lot about this deeply underwhelming title. Usually, a Metal Gear would have people drooling, and posting rave reviews in spades. Not this. An action oriented Metal Gear should have been great fun, but this is anything but. While I admit that hack and slash games aren't my very favourite genre, I have enjoyed the likes of Bayonetta, and I love God of War and Onimusha.
Summary: I just hate it. It's not my cup of tea. I was expecting something more along the lines of the older metal gear games, but it's literally a slash-em up game. I can't really see any need for skill in it. Time the counter attacks well enough and just mash the attack button and you complete the game. I haven't seen any need to think during this game.
Summary: Just completed Ni No Kuni which lasted 60hrs Plus. From another reviewer this only last 5 hrs. Hardly a bargain. So will not be purchasing this game due to its short lenghth. But for those with money to spare go for it.Please read other reviews and make your purchase based on overall reviews. Yes I KNOW this is not really a review its just I feel the need to point out the length of game at 5hrs approx.
