Good game but not as smooth in dynamics & gameplay as ME2 or ME3
1 week ago
Summary: Its an engaging game with good action, but Mass Effect 2 & 3 definitely improved the smoothness of gameplay and the dynamics. However, still worth the play especially if you play it prior to Mass Effect 2 & 3.
Summary: For starters with this game the soundtrack and the story are incredible which is one of the reasons I found myself able to suffer through this game. I have played both ME2 and ME3 prior to this one and they both had stronger graphics, more to do, better sound effects and better customization menus.
Summary: Mass Effect is every that is wrong with western RPGs. The story is okay, but very generic science fiction. The character creation gives you options which distract you from the story, and make you chose what weapons your character can use from the very beginning with no way of changing it. The story is linear which, especially in a western RPG, is completely undesirable. Your actions don't have the effect in the end that you expect and hope for.
Summary: After finishing ME2, which I thought is one of the best games out there. Then I got ME1 and expected it to be just as awesome if a little outdated. However, ME1 is not the game it turned out to it be. It's a very badly designed action game. It's mechanics, like cover system, vehicle driving, movement controls and squad commands are a total joke. they are really bad to the point that I thought I was playing some 3rd rated shooter.
Summary: I loved Fallout 3. It's maybe my favorite game of all time. I think about Fallout: New Vegas all the time. I'm anxious for it like a kid on 12/24. It keeps me up at night, scouring the web for any little iota of information or a new screenshot or concept art. To pass the grueling few weeks between now and then I bought Mass Effect 2 - which I was told was a similar style RPG but set it space. Right on. Trade mutants for aliens and that's that.
