  • Excerpt: When I started playing this game back when it was first released I was happy to have a great space rpg come out. The graphics hiccupped occasionally and the sound would get annoying, especially in the elevators!It would have been nice to travel through the entire ship without load screens.The story line is amazing and you want to keep playing just to find out what happens.It has all the elements of a fine rpg, character tweaking, custom weapons, and super powers!

  • Excerpt: Mass Effect is an incredible game. The storyline is awesome, the gameplay is addicting, the role playing is unparallel to any other game. and much more. This game is awesome and will be long-lasting entertainment. The price of Mass Effect is equal/more expensive than Mass Effect 2, which was also an epic exerpience. So, what does that say about the game?

Madden NFL 07 Review

IGN Entertainment

  • Conclusion: It may be old hat, but Madden NFL 07 for the last-gen Xbox shows new dogs some old tricks. The core gameplay elements of this SKU are down-pat, which makes the extra features such as Superstar mode that much more enjoyable. I can overlook the lack of online leagues or dazzling graphics for a stout basic foundation, which this title certainly has. Madden NFL 07 is proof positive that the last-gen Xbox is still alive and kicking.

  • Excerpt: Bioware’s own Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was one of the original Xbox’s most well-received games. With lots of dialogue, a solid science fiction story, and a deep role-playing system, it remains a classic title. The developers have since moved on, letting another developer handle a sequel to Knights while working on Jade Empire , another Xbox title. Now, though, Bioware has made the leap to Xbox 360.

Strategy Informer
2 November 2008
  • Conclusion: In the end Mass Effect does carry some imperfections like bugs, glitches, texturing popping, some sound volume quirks and often laborious exploration in the MAKO but even after all that BioWare still has one mega-fantastic (yes, it’s a word) game here. The depth of the story, the quality of the cinematic styled dialogue and events, the brilliant scores of music that litter throughout – all build up an unforgettable immersion and by the end I was near grief-stricken that...

Mass Effect

ActionTrip

  • Conclusion: Bottom line, this game is not the second coming. It doesn't live up to the hype in the way some hoped it might (and really, which overhyped game does). But, this is truly an evolutionary step in BioWare's development of single-player RPGs. I sure do miss the Star Wars panache, but as it is, Mass Effect is a title you'll want to own on the 360.
  • Pros: Unbelievable emotional depth given to the appearance of characters, story, combat system, interesting moral dilemmas which finally transcend the most obvious choices between our notions of good and evil;
  • Cons: Side quests and their locales too generic, some bad voice acting, occasional bugs, Bioware's proprietary world doesn't appear imaginative and compelling enough, needed more cool "spells" later in the game.
