Explore the far reaches of the unknown universe with Mass Effect, the new game from the developers of fame BioWare.

This spectacular game is set two centuries into the future, in an alien universe on the brink of being devoured by the ambitious greed of a rogue agent commanding a vast army bent on conquest. Players will command an elite squad of revolutionary fighters for freedom, battling to restore law and peace across the cosmos and defeating the armies of evil. Mass Effect presents the first installment in an epic trilogy that spans the entire universe. Players take on the role of Specter, a peacekeeper of the galaxy sworn to defeat the invading armies at all costs. But as the story unfolds and players lead their squads across different alien planets, a deeper controversy is slowly revealed. The true danger is far more sinister than anything anyone had thought, and time is running out.

Review Summary

Mass Effect is a science-fiction action game. The story is about the first humans on the galactic stage, and players’ role is to find out and prevent threats to civilization. Players will have to travel across the universe to solve the mystery. And as they progress into their explorations, they discover that the universe is about to come to a violent end. Saving the universe will be upon them. The characters look real and the dialogue is very clear. Reviewers found that most players like this game’s combat system. Players tell their companions when to change weapons, use special powers and move around or attack enemies. Your shooting improves along with your weapon-skills. The combats are quite challenging which mostly delight gamers. The weapon system is quite unique also. Each character has access to just four weapons, a pistol, shotgun, rifle and sniper rifle. There are plenty of enemies to fight, from biotic Asari to insectoid Rachni, however most of the time you’ll be fighting the Geth, Krogans and various mercenaries. The graphics and the visuals are great, but reviewers aren’t quite satisfied with the special powers. Your character has two additional skills Charm and Intimidate, which unlock conversation options and improve your persuading skills. Some reviews find the combats to be repetitive but lovers of science fiction will definitely love this game.
