Summary: Ok I first want to address the Buy new and forget the used. This is because when you buy used it use to save you money but now since your buying used you lose playing online. To play online you'll have to pay extra for a pass which now brings the price of a used game higher then if you buy a new game with the online play included. Gamestop should adjust this but they will not till buyers stop paying a price which amounts to more then price.
A good game with a seriously flawed ending. 70/100 (-25 of 30 for ending)

Summary: Despite the 3/5 rating, I do recommend this game with one very important caveat I'll address shortly. To provide some context, readers should know I've played ME1, ME2 (including all DLC missions), and ME3 many times over several years on the Xbox 360. I've played both Shepard genders (though I have a bias toward the FemShep) and all classes (soldier, adept, etc.). In short, I'm reasonably well versed on the ME series.
Summary: While the gameplay was great the first time around, it has very little replay value like the previous games. I have played through ME 1 & 2 several times, so I have a variety of Shepards. Each playthrough was pretty different. Even after the 4th or so playthrough, something cool and different would happen with both games. Not so with ME3. I am currently about half way through my second play through and it is almost identical to my first.
Summary: This game was stunning. It offered a wrap up to all the galactic decisions left up in the air from the previous games. It was a original Idea, and it was an intense roller coaster ride right up to the last 5 min. Then everything fell apart. It was the single most disappointing end to a franchise in my history as a gamer, it was quick, upsetting, and unsatisfying, with no feelings of closure or even accomplishment.
Summary: If you are new to the ME series buy the first two and play them. The Third game is underwhelming to say the least. I am not sure why it is qualified as an RPG. The story arc of the game is pretty good. The ending is subpar. The overall attention to detail was not as good as the previous games. This game is okay, but not amazing. It is about as good as most FPS games on the market nowadays.
