Summary: It was worth all the money. The game itself had some glitches like you can glitch out onto the side of the Normandy and see the stars!! But the art book really shows you that the characters had alot of time and effort to perfect it all and the game as a whole.
Summary: I really like the fact that you get to know each of your crew members really via their personal quest missions. Although I like some character's backstory more than others, all crew members are really interesting and great characters. However I didn't really like the gameplay, because Bioware took away alot of the RPG elements from the first Mass Effect. I felt like I didn't get much stronger at all at max level compared to the first level.
Pros: 1. a science-fiction RPG - no elves, no dragons, no magic 2. fun and diverse combat system 3. good character customizations 4. all the AI have personalities 5. epic storyline 6. great sound and graphics 7. choices made during gameplay matters
Cons: They removed too many good parts from the first game: extensive gear & armor customizations, large number of sidequests, ways to make money, long playtime, tactical gameplay. Apart from teammembers there's less of everything in Mass Effect 2.
Summary: Mass Effect was one of the best RPGs I've ever played and its sequel is almost as impressive. Some say the sequel is better but for every improvement, what they dumbed down in terms of party member management made it feel more action rpgish. Still loved it and I'm especially pumped for the third game.
