Summary: So I had heard about Mass Effect for a LONG time but I'm not much for shooting games, but finally gave the series a shot. AMAZING. ME2 was a little jarring in that they changed the map, journal and fighting style, but I ended up preferring it over ME1, and I thought that how they handled the story in this game worked fairly well.
Summary: I love role playing games and sci-fi so I thought I would try this. I fell in love with it! I have never played a game that cause me to invest my emotions into it as this did. I could totally get lost in the story. When my charactors died at the end (it was the ending I chose) I was like NOOOOOOO! I was really feeling for these characters. Even though this is a wonderful stand alone game, at some point I will get the others to complete the set. Excellent!
Summary: The galaxy of Mass Effect has been masterfully expanded upon albeit with the game play being streamlined. Having played through the original title years ago I was skeptical if BioWare could really follow through with all that was promised. I've waited to purchase till it was in the budget title range. I played the 1st hour not signed in with autosave off (as if I hadn't played Mass Effect 1) just to see what the base story had to offer.
Summary: Sequels are never as good as the original, but this is an exception. The only issue I had with Mass Effect 1 were some of the needlessly long and tedious mission on words. No more! Combat has been improved, great conversation features, and so much more. My favorite of the 3 Mass Effect games!

Summary: ME2 was ruined completely; one being its random mechanic of ammo (not in ME1) almost all role playing games don't have ammo, for a good reason to. In ME1,& 3 there was a moment were you have a chance to buy armor, upgrades, and weapons; for your team! While ME2 had a similar thing but for Shepard alone its stupid! ME1 & 3 will always be superior to ME2 At everything.
Summary: Definitely is awesome enough to play over and over again. The story is awesome, the dialog is awesome the characters are awesome and the graphics are amazing! I would recommend this game to anyone who loves rpgs and shooters. Waiting expecting for Mass Effect 3...
Summary: I know it's early in the year but I honestly don't think anything will be able to derail this game from being one of the best of the year. Mass Effect 2 has an accessible RPG framework less the clutter, intensive shooter/action elements, and most importantly, an engaging story. Playing Mass Effect 2 is like being the main character of a science fiction movie. Key to the game being a gem is because it contains just the right balance of story vs gameplay.
Summary: Take Mass Effect 1, mix it with Gears of War, take out crappy inventory system and you will get this great game. This is a MUCH better experience then the first game, great not only for RPG lovers but also for shooter fans.
