Summary: Major League Baseball is a disappointment for the following reason. The play mode requires you to use your numchuck and the button on the other hand to time your swing and location of the pitch. Unless you are psychic your freedom to swing and hit a pitch is more difficult than Major League Baseball 2K8. The announders are Steve Phillips and Gary Thorne. Not as light hearted as Joe Morgan and Jon Miller.
Summary: The game play is extremely good as well as the picture quality. The actual game part is all of what I expected and wanted, but more often than not I am forced to shut off my xbox manually because the game tends to lock on some loading screens, especially right after a game is played. I know it is for sure the MLB 2K9 disc as this is the only game I have problems with.
Summary: MLB 2K9 is a huge lazy disappointment. There's really no nice way to say it. The game was just starting to find itself in 2K8, but they decided to strip away features and dumb the pitching and batting down for this one. Let's hope they figure out how to make a real baseball game next year. They should really take a lesson or three from MLB09 The Show. Now THAT is what a baseball game should play like.
Summary: First let me say I actually enjoyed MLB 2k8. It had flaws(several), but after tweaking some sliders I actually played a few full seasons, simming a game here and there, and enjoyed it. I had high expectations for MLB 2k9, and was very disappointed. After getting home and putting the game in I started up an exhibition game. I loved it, the presentation was new and great, the announcers were new and fresh, and the graphics looked good.
Summary: For some crazy reason, 2K and all the other sports game makers for XBOX 360 have decided that the games are all about the graphics and they have forgotten that just because a guy looks real catching a ball and turnnig a double play that if he is doing so in an unreal slow speed, it just ain't baseball. That goes for all the sports other than maybe what I have seen on some of the NHL Hockey games.
charge 2k9 with an error...........or two or three

Summary: bought this game because i was looking for a good baseball game on the 360. nice graphics and everything but the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that out of 10 throws to your first baseman he'll have his foot on the bag 6 of those times, maybe even less. come on now. where is the realism? at first i thought it was because i was throwing too hard and the first baseman didnt have time to get to the base but even with a light throw it's hit or miss if he's on it.
